Hello everybody. I'm Txema, and today is my birthday. I have been waiting for a special occasion to open these little gifts for a long time.

What do you say, do I open them and smell the smell of plastic and new cardboard or, on the contrary, do I keep them so they can bury me with them?

Take it simple...

You wanna play them?
Open it

You don't want to play with them?
put it in your carcassonne shelf or safe

You want play them and not open them?
buy a second copy

or use a pnp version for playing

Whether you open them depends on your goals. If you’re in it for the money, keep them sealed. If you’re in it for the fun, open them up.

So there's people desperately trying to find one copy of these to finally be able to play 'em... and the people who actually have them keep them sealed and unused. Oh I'm so mad

Because Tunnels needs a big overhaul to be a reliable expansion; and Cathars was reprinted 2 more times.
Also HiG didn't produced these expansions for their commercial outfit.
They were created as promos for magazines.

Back to the OP: I'd be inclined to play with both expansions on JCZ and see if you like them. If you do then open and play with them. If you don't you can keep them in your Carcassonne vault.

I'll let them know now they really aren't missing much, I have both in my play collection... don't think I have either in my sealed collection
