Hi all,

For those unaware of what it is really going on, I will just break it for you: Christmas is coming!!! Again... So does Winter... at least in the Northern Hemisphere!

In preparation of the coming events, here at Carcassonne Central, a lot is happening behind the scenes once again. The Meeple Council is in session discussing whether wonder tiles should be counted as 1 tile or as 5 tiles for the dragon...

This is just a smoke screen, because the real agenda for today is...

- Pixie: (sighing) This Cthulhu guy is unbearable!
- Flooxie: This continuous dark vortex drives me crazy!!!
- Pixie: He stopped by for a two-week vacation but this seems forever!
- Flooxie: Ooops sorry, Mr. Guard!!!
- Mr. Guard: Never mind!
- Flooxie: We weren't supposed to haunt you... This dark fog misled us again...
- Pixie: I think I saw Red Phantom over there!
- Flooxie: Over my ironed sheets! That guy is spooooooky!!!

- Pixie: How can you...?

- Flooxie: Excuse meeeeeee?

- Pixie: (Sighing) Never mind...

- Mr. Guard: Move on, please!
- Flooxie: (gliding away) Ok, ok...

- The Grinch: (staring at the Snowman) Where did I put the heater...?
- Snowman: Gotta go! Have a nose in the freezer...

- The Grinch: Too late! Today I feel specially heinous!!!
- Danisthirty: How so?
- The Grinch: Can't you feel that hate is in the air?
- Gingerbread Man: I thought it was your cologne...
- Danisthirty: Did you get it for Christmas?
- Santa Claus: (in a low voice) Sorry!
- The Grinch: You like it?

- Gingerbread Man: It smells like scorched mee...

- The Grinch: I would like to refill my bottle? Any volunteers...?

- Fir Tree: (a brunch breaks)

- Santa Claus: Ahem! Ahem! Shall we revisit the rules of the Advent Quiz?
- Danisthirty: What a lovely idea!!!

Between the 1st and 24th December we will post a small Carcassonne scoring question each day (at a random time), to which the answer will be points scored by one or more players according to the question (and maybe some side questions). Each question will be presented by a member of the Meeple Council, who will indicate the number of expansions but will not participate as a meeple in the scenario itself. Here is a reference:
- Gingerbread Man 1 expansion
- Snowman 2 expansions
- Santa Claus 3 expansions
- Danisthirty 4 expansions
- The Grinch 5 expansions (or more, of course )

When you know the answer, don't post it on this thread! Because then everyone will know, and we don't want that. Instead, send Meepledrone a PM including the question number and your answer for that day. He won't respond to your PM (please don't be offended), but if you get the answer correct you will win one or more quiz points depending on the question.

There's no cut-off date for any particular questions so don't despair if you miss any. You can even answer all 24 questions on Christmas Eve if you want.

Once Christmas and Boxing Day are behind us, the correct answers will be posted – one at a time – along with who won the points and total scores per participant. Contestants with the same number of points will be sorted by the time they took to respond. This is where it gets really fun!

The overall winner will be the person with the most points at the end of the quiz, but there is likely to be a small prize for everyone who answers all questions regardless of whether they manage to answer any of them correctly. It will be a surprise.

Any questions, please ask now. Otherwise, you can expect question 1 of 24 sometime on December 1st!

- The Grinch: Whaaaat? No points boost for players answering first...
- Santa Claus: Nope. The response time will help resolve ties, but the winner will be the player who answers the most correct questions.
- Gingerbread Man: Of course, the faster the better...
- The Grinch: I hate the idea... Let's do it!

Sorry the Grinch, the CC members will be allowed to sleep at night this year

no more hectic, no more staying up late or discovering the next question just the moment you wanted to go to bed....
