Crop circles and farms

I couldn't find an answer to this anywhere, but I seem to remember there being discussion before.  Does a farm continue through a crop circle or is it a barrier to a farm?

S-CAR v6.3 - page 150 - footnote 416:
Crop fields (the yellow areas) are distinct features and thus separate road segments and field
segments. (1/2013)
