They're not really sleeves per se, I don't play with these tiles so they're just in little zip-lock bags to keep them safe.

OK, thanks. My big existential question of the moment related to carcassonne is to know if I invest in sleeves to protect my tiles.

I don't personally but I know plenty of people do and I can understand why they would choose to use them. For me, it's become quite rare that I actually play with physical tiles, and even when we do we don't use any of the rare or valuable expansions so there isn't much in the way of value to protect anyway.
