Hi all!
Tired of piling your tiles in a stack? Tired of using the tower? Tired of your old tile bags?
Here you are the new 20th Anniversary tile bag in two sizes (normal and large) available on CundCo without any previous warning...
Here you are an excerpt of the product pages translated from German:
Product information "Carcassonne Anniversary Cloth Bag"
If you don't want to buy a pig in a poke, you'd better choose our fancy new Carcassonne cloth bag right away (without the pig!). [N.B. The German original text was referring to buying cat in a bag... but the automatic translation used buying a pig in a poke instead, so you were getting the bag without the cat.]
Just put all the tiles in the bag before the game, instead of making many piles of tiles. Pass the bag around to draw a tile from it. No more piles falling over. No more stretching for the tiles. And small color differences in the backs of the tiles no longer matter. An all around clean bag .... Ahhhh... thing!
The handmade and sturdy cotton bag is now available in two sizes:
* The large bag with the dimensions approx. 350x260 mm. It offers space for about 480-500 plates or 1,100 standard meeples

* The smaller standard bag with the dimensions approx. 270x205 mm. It offers space for about 180-200 plates or 500 standard meeple.

PS: Speaking of meeples, I just checked and all transparent and frozen meeples are back in stock in all colors. So it is a good time to complete your collection just in case they were gone for a while before you could do it. Scroll down on the Accessories section and have fun!

Interesting. Everybody who miss this bag in C2 version have chance to buy one, for price of 1/3 of large expansion. Hmm...
-
Thanks for sharing, it looks really good :o
I'll wait for a new expansion to place an order, but if it is still available, I might add this bag too :yellow-meeple:
-
Nice! I wanted to get the blue frozen meeples for a long time and they were never available.
And one of the bags is HUGE! It can hold 500 tiles, a full collection. Perfect for a massive game. Also ordered a few more spare tiles I need.
-
I'm pondering if completing my collection of transparent meeples... I don't I use them for a game (they tend to get camouflaged IMHO) but they are so cute to the eye. :o
-
I think I will get one, but I will probably wait for the spiel 2021 tile to be sold
-
I’d be lying if I said I weren’t tempted by these bags but these bags alone aren’t enough for me to place an order. I may wait until around Spiel time though I do worry I may be too little too late by that point.

My list of Christmas items grows ever longer:
* Pink Abbot
* Winter Edition with River (hopefully)
* Whatever promo comes out at Spielfest
* Large 20th anniversary bag
* Small 20th anniversary bag
* Spiel '21 tile (free with purchase, hopefully)
-
Does anyone know what month the Spiel tiles become available this year and how you qualify? I only started this Carcassonne lark in January '21...
Fifty posts, woohoo!
-
Usually the Spiel tiles come out just after Essen, which is usually mid-October.
Historically, the tiles would be given out for free with any purchase made at the Spiel convention in Essen. Then quick soon after they also become available on Cundco.
Last year (as there was no Spiel in Essen), the tiles became available on Cundco directly. Usually they are free with any order over €20.
If there are some more tiles available, they usually tend to repeat the availability in early December (for their St. Nicolaus promotions)
-
Thanks Willem.
20 euros? No worries!
-
They are technically available for free (at a €0.01 price tag) but you have to add them to your shopping cart as any normal item since you won't get it added automatically added to your cart even if your order is above €20... So don't forget to do it explicitly. It is not like the shopping bag you get automatically if your order is above €50.

Thanks Meepledrone.
Free bag! Ha, wish I'd known, my last order was 44 plus postage... That would have been enough 'justification' for another expansion or some more sets of meeples for that one and only time I try an 11 player game...
-
Jus tin case, this is the bag...

Sometimes, when your order is higher, they throw a spielbox issue into you order as an extra gift. ;D

There's even multiple designs of those bags. I think i've got 3 or 4 different designs over the years. I never use plastic bags again as i've got several of each design i think
Collect them all! hahaha
-
Really? Multiple designs? ???
I've got four bags but all with the same design :yellow-meeple:
-
Had to look a little bit, but found bags in 2 different designs (I thought there were more, but seems I was wrong).
They are:

(Showing both sides of each design)
All the other bags I have are also in these designs. I'll have a look later in my car, as I think there might be another one in there, but thinking now it's likely in one of these designs
-
I have the English design only. Maybe it depends wether we're on the German or English version of cundco.de when ordering?
-
Same case here! Only the design on the right.

older bags

Oooooh!
That is a C1 bag! ;)
-
Ow yes! I have seen that one before. But dont have one unfortunately.
Damn my completionism, now I want one! ;D
-
Ooops! Another rabbit hole! >:D
-
These are the bags I've already collected, I don't know if there are any more of this kind.

Wow, this makes 4 different bags :o

I am considering a bag for gameplay due to quite obvious variations on the backs of my tiles. The only thing I am concerned about is the wear of tiles when doing so. What is your experience regarding this matter?
-
Using a tile bag to draw from, definitely increases the wear of your tiles. It wont be much at a time, but after a couple of years of playing, my C1 playset basegame is really showing wear on the tiles.
You can prevent the extra tile wear by putting your tiles in plastic sleeves. These are available for carcassonne tiles, and can keep the tiles safe. Ive recently sleeved my whole C2 playset, as we mainly play that and I almost always use a draw bag
-
I second Willem's sleeve and bag tip. It's great tile protection and helps disguise those fan-made ones! I can also attest to the quality and attractiveness of the new (large) Cundco bag.
