Title: Lost expansions search expedition
Post by: Murphy013 on January 17, 2020, 09:34:36 AM
Hi all,

Maybe you noticed that I uploaded several lost expansions. Yes they are old, but still worth for playing.
So i become a little private investigator and follow each bread crumb to find the authors. Biggest success was to get in contact with Hawkinssable (Corn circles 3, Pirate coast and The Cliff).
Maybe you have also some expansions saved which are not available on CarcC, CarcF or BGG. Also completed expansions which stay unpublished in the workshop. Let me know these expansions and I will try to get in contact with the author and to get the permission to publish the expansion on CarC. Most times I get also the permission for remastering to increase the resolution up to 600dpi. If it is an expansion with only rules they are welcome too.
So try to remember lost expansions, jewels in the workshop, dig through your respository. Open your secret stash. I will try my best that everybody can enjoy.
Of course I will get not all and some authors want to be left in peace. I contact them, if possible, with respect and contact them only twice.
So just send me a pm.

Have fun and play smart

P.S.: the expansions of Hawkinssable will be provided soon

While browsing through my old Carc files I found another expansion — Brick Masons. I couldn't find anything about it in the new forum but it's still accessible in the old one: http://carcassonnecentral.com/forum/index.php?topic=2222.15

Links seem to work.

Don't know whether we should recover the old thread or simply start a new one.

@Palkan: it already in the download area. The workshop thread can‘t be moved to completed expansions because it's in the old forum

I would recommend to create a new topic in Completed Expansions with a summary of the expansion and a link to the old forum and the download area...

Any volunteers? If not, I can do it myself.  ;D

A single topic of all? I guess that this is difficult to keep a trace of each expansion.
I recommend to create a topic for each expansion which will be finished with a trace to the old thread. But only in case when there is no thread in the new forum. Then it can be closed there.

One topic per recovered expansion...

I did that for some of the Advent Calendar expansions that weren't discussed earlier on the forum... and for Pirate Coast. This way you can find some pointers in the forum... otherwise you would find some stuff in the Download area without any additional context or info to know it came from IMHO.

I would include a small introduction with a link to the old forum and another link to the download area.  :)
