For those who haven't yet mastered DIN0's notation
, the second player puts the tile under the start tile with the city facing to the right and places a robber on the road.
This gives Green a chance to join the Black road. If Black claims the city cap, it helps Green's cloister and gives Green a chance to connect to the road. If Black blocks the road, Green might claim the city.
I don't like playing at [1;-1] (below the cloister), because then if Black extends the road, it might be difficult to get a tile at [0;-1] to complete the Green cloister. I suppose playing at [2;0] (right of the cloister) and placing a knight is okay, but Black has an easy point to launch an invasion of the city from [1;1].
You could do something crazy and extend Black's road by placing at [-1;-1] and deploying a farmer that would be on a field that includes both sides of the road?
