Basically Wooden have announced that they'll be hanging up the aprons in January and retiring. See Instagram:

I'll be sad not to see them at trade shows, or send them emails for quirky ideas for things. Their boxes will definitely be missed.

Wow, that's disappointing to hear.  I don't have any of their Carcassonne boxes, but I did buy their jumbo Catan box and it's really great.
