Hello to all.
this morning i received the email notification that the winter edition is back in muller stores.
Unfortunately for that product they do not ship, but only pick up in store is possible.
I ask German friends for help ... :) PPLLEEEEAAASSEEEEE I'd like a copy :'(
Can someone please buy a copy and send it to me? (I'm in Belgium)

By Condo you mean Cundco? Cundco is the HiG shop. I doubt they're a separate company given how closely they're tied.
No it's not like Devir and Mindok, because those are publishers from other regions. In Germany Asmodee is a distribution partner.

Thanks for info. It's look like, OK. We will be next partner, made digital games for you etc. I also saw that Asmodee Nordic is selling carcassonne in Scandinavia. It's look like new worldwide partner which takes probably other distributions in different languages with which Admodee operates? (oh, terrific sentense)

Baer in mind that Asmodee owns Z-man games (The UK, USA, and Australian publisher) and F2Z (The French publisher), Asmodee was closely linked well before mention of any digital game development. It makes sense to leverage your partner's assets though if both sides can profit. My understanding is that HiG allows their partners that license Carcassonne for other countries can essentially do what they like. I suspect Asmodee provides very competitive rates given their experience and scale across the value-chain.

It can be, because they have still some copies, because I was missing tile from this expansion and I got it.

I have both editions. The new one's cities have a LOT more houses inside, and some tiles with trees have even more trees. No gardens except for that single river tile though.

For those who do have the version with the river, how do the rivers line up? I tracked down two sets and to my dismay the river tiles in both are a little off centered from one another. I noticed on BGG that someone else had a similar issue, though theirs was worse than mine.

It is a frozen garden if you match it with the corresponding C2 river tile. Since the Winter Edition includes no abbots, it seems to be just a decoration for the time being.
Neither the rules nor the tile list available on HiG mention this feature.

Some of our members do indeed live in Germany (or have helpful friends who live in Germany).
It should soon be available for the rest of us via www.cundco.de but it doesn't look like it's there yet though. Watch this space.

While on the topic of the Winter Edition, in my daily checks to the Cundco store I noticed that "Winter-Edition - Der Lebkuchenmann" was in stock for those interested.

I have this new edition and it's terrible. It has the same issue as the recent mini expansions, with houses inside of cities all cut and mismatching. The only reason to get this edition is to take the river tiles from it. I put the river in my old edition's box, and gave away the rest to a friend.

I sense you may be afraid your friend will throw the tiles at you as soon as he/she spots the "defective" clipped buildings... >:D
Anyway, you should keep the new WE base game so the city style on its tiles match the river too... Only sacrifice for the time being, the WE minis...

The new river and the minis match both editions just fine. The broken houses is the only issue, everything else has the same colors and style too.
The new edition's scoring board looks better too, they added some crows.

Hi, is someone from the US interested in obtaining a copy of the new Müller winter edition? I would love to trade a brand-new copy and arrange shipping - in exchange I would love to get my hands on a Star Wars book which can only be ordered from the US Disney store (https://www.shopdisney.com/star-wars-galaxys-edge-myths-fables-book-477412202085.html?isProductSearch=1&plpPosition=31&searchType=regular). The book costs a little more than the boardgame, though, I'd of course pay the difference.

What we can offer is: We do have a few Carcassonne winter edition (2020) in our warehouse which are opened for quality tests of the production. The games are complete. The streets can have a slight deviation from one another, but will touch each other when put side by side. Since the games are open and can have small inconstancies we will sell it for a special price of 18€.

As much as I want that winter river, I don't think I'm ready to spend that much on shipping. Unfortunately there are no plans for a reprint of the winter edition yet.
What we can offer is: We do have a few Carcassonne winter edition (2020) in our warehouse which are opened for quality tests of the production. The games are complete. The streets can have a slight deviation from one another, but will touch each other when put side by side. Since the games are open and can have small inconstancies we will sell it for a special price of 18€.

open the box, take out river tiles and send separately? ;)

Bear in mind that the graphics in the WE 2020 tiles have been updated a little, and cities are a bit fuller with buildings then the original edition. Moreover, the the snow color may not perfectly match between the 2012 and the 2020 editions.

It seems Cundco had some opened copies of WE 2020 for quality testing in early December 2021. If still available, they are selling them for 18€.

How long did they take to answer? I contacted them at the end of January about this but haven’t heard back.

Same dates for me. After seeing shipping cost to the US, I sent a polite (hopefully!) response to Ron Bussenius on March 9th saying I'd pass on the opportunity, so hopefully someone on the forum got good news on the 10th!

Almost identical dates for me, too. After my January 29 enquiry, I received a reply from Ron in March 5. Using some spare credit due to miscalculated shipping costs of my Advent order, I happily grabbed this opportunity and now I await my copy.
