Community Rules (Meepledrone & Friends) / Re: The Abbot - Role on a garden
« on: December 07, 2021, 12:48:58 PM »
Gardens are not monasteries so they are not affected by vineyards or challenges! There is no garden placement restrictions around shrines for example.  ;)

Exactly, gardens and abbots is something apart…

Exactly. Officially the rule is to remove abbot before moving the dragon and then score the garden. If you play online in the official asmodee app (then HiG aproves it) with the P&D expansion with the abbot, that's how everything happens. I understand that here there is a problem of organization on paper between the differents editions and translation too… always the same….

Clearly isn’t a monk. I see that intention of HiG is to do a same system of a monk but without a monastic building. An Abbot in a garden= gardener. But Abbot is a religious role even in a garden… If the rules talking about monks (on a religious building) Abbot on a garden doesn’t count I think…

Community Rules (Meepledrone & Friends) / Re: Base Game - Table edges
« on: December 07, 2021, 09:24:27 AM »
One thing is the rules of the maps and the other is playing normal without a map ... Officially there is an end of the table and if there is something unfinished the meeple is blocked so it’s something to take into consideration when you are playing an official tournament. It’s also a very interesting way to block ... I love it hahahaha
Now if your idea is to apply the rules of the maps as if there were them in a normal game that would be to ask HiG if it incorporates it ... If they answer something hahaha
If I personally add it officially to the World Tournament for example? I wouldn’t do it at all. Now if it’s an informal game and you want to use it to be able to close everything possible and take advantage of the land table by making points, it’s a good alternative if you don’t want to play in a bloody way ...

I use a A1 folder with all the maps and a methacrylate sheet with the same size of the maps. A bit heavy weight but if you had a strong carton folder (a bit expensive but good choice) the maps will be in good carton hands

Hello,

I use a plastic case A1 (14 euros on amazon.fr)

like that they stay well flattened

More expensive but more resistant to weight of maps and even if you want to add methacrylate sheet with the same size to using on games…

Quizzes, Puzzles and Challenges / Re: Most Correct Signposts? On a Torus?

Ugh I’m so foolish.  :o

Of course there is no torus, because the unpaired road always makes an incompatible edge on a torus.   :-[

So, just questions 1, 2, and 3.    ???

If you like C2 style I recommend you to buy all as you can now because tomorrow could be late for a reasonable price… On my case that I don’t like C2 move on and I’m starting to collect C3…

I use the C1 conversion of gardens in tiles. This conversion is official and you will find on carcassonne-forum.de
I don’t like C2

Congrats! This is a miracle find!  :o

I've never seen one of these on sale... It is still missing in my collection.

You know that it's better the WE scoreboard with the tree meeple and Santa meeple... ;)
