Fantastic summary jungleboy,  I recently got a copy of this and it looks totally alien to regular carcassonnne; sounds like the 2 player balance has been tightened so both players have to work.  What was your point differential at the end?

One of the most exciting JCZ games I've played, against B1nder.  A sneaky Builder Blocking move at the start (which he later repaid) set me off to a good start.

Claiming the Farm was the winning move for me.  But I really couldn't decide if I should have closed the 30point city for the ribbon; turns out I should have.

Very close game, thanks B1nder!

I've only played with the second set from the mini-expansions.  I feel the problem isn't that there isn't enough - but they tried to do too much with them.  Cards to remove Farmers, Card to remove thieves..etc 

I wonder if they were totally generic (eg: remove any follower) or very specific (eg: remove only knights) they could be more useful.  I could have done with several in last night's game!
