At the CundCo Shop you can buy the Count, the River I, the School, Gingerbread Man at the moment.
And the Spielbox has the Shrines.
Only the River II isn't there for selling.

HiG has sometimes this or that mini or some games in their CundCo Shop.

The games at the CundCo Shop:
The Wheel of Fortune
and some other spin off games from the Carcassonne world...

I'm not nearly as vocal as some others here, but I do wish Z-Man would consider releasing some of the smaller expansions (river, river ii, king, etc.) as separate expansions rather than all bundled up.  My profession doesn't give me an annual salary anywhere near 6 figures, and spending $25 on a bundle rather than $6 on what I'd really like to have matters to my budget...a lot.

With that said, I understand that Rio Grande published things like King and Scout, River II, etc., and then released the German edition of Count, King, and Cult which people *had* to buy even though they already owned most of it through the smaller expansions.  Those buyers were upset with the bundle for a different reason than I am.

Therefore, I understand that Z-man certainly cannot make all people happy all the time.  It's impossible to do.  Still, I'm now at a point where I'm forced to decide whether I want to 1) Buy a new Z-man Carcassonne game for $20-$25 in order to get a copy of the river and have a bunch of extra tiles or 2) Buy a copy of the German release of Count, King, and Cult for $25 to get a copy of River II, and have 3 other expansions I'll rarely use.  Or maybe 3) Save my money and put it towards a new game in the future, such as Stone Age, or Flash Point: Fire Rescue.  Again, my budget doesn't permit me to do all-of-the-above, so a choice must be made.  And the choice would be so much easier if I could grab a river/ii for $6 or less.

This string of posts also makes me believe that Z-Man doesn't have any intentions of reprinting Hunters and Gatherers with Scout expansion and/or Ark of the Covenant.  Is that so?

Haven't heard anything regarding spinoffs, but I'll ask. I doubt that Ark of the Covenant is part of the license agreement.

For some unfathomable reason Ark of the Covenant is very easy to get in Sweden, so if swedish rules does not bother you I can hand over some links. I have no idea what the shipping cost might be though.

Here is the response I got regarding the spinoffs:

Many of the Carcassonne expansions are still being discussed. Since I am not a part of the editorial discussions, I do not know which ones are still on the table as we speak.
Once we know what we are doing and when it is coming out, we will announce it on our page and I will surely let you know. :)

Hello. First time poster here. I apologize if this has been covered in this thread. I read it all, but I might have missed something...

Do we have any confirmation anywhere that ZMG is going to release a bundle with The River II? I, for one, would prefer it in the form of a bundle. I only own the 6 mini's, base game (w/ river), I&C, T&B, P&D, and The Tower. So any word on more ZMG released coming soon would be awesome. I dont want to pay a lot of money to ship foreign ones over here.

I believe they have confirmed a future release of Count, King & Cult, which also includes River II, so yes.

Update from Z-Man Games:

Quote
Hello Scott,

It indeed has been a while since we touched base!

Here's what I know:
  • Expansions 5-6-8 should arrive in our warehouse this week. So in US stores in october.
  • Restock of expansions 1-2-3-4-5-6-8 will be coming late October.
  • Winter edition will be releasing late October, we should be able to announce a date soon, watch for it on our Facebook ;)

Other than that, that is pretty much it on the Carcassonne news front for now.
And thank you for wanting to help us promote Carcassonne Winter :)

Have a great day,

Kalinda Patton

I've updated the first post in this thread. Note that the Catapult is not getting reprinted. ;D

I doubt it's never getting reprinted by Z-Man, I just suspect it is at the bottom of their list. The fact that they are referring to the expansions by number is also welcoming since RGG dropped that beginning with #6 (which they didn't print standalone). No word on Wheel of Fortune yet, either.

I am not sure what you mean Carcking.

All what I know is that Z-man is following the numbers of the expansions like HiG.

1. Inns & Cathedrals
2. Traders & Builders
3. The Princess & The Dragon
4. The Tower
5. Abbey & Mayor (arriving this week)
6. Count, King & Robber (arriving this week)
7. Catapult
8. Wheel of Fortune (arriving this week)
9. Bridges, Castles & Bazaars

The only expansions that aren't being printed right now are Catapult and BC&B. I suspect BC&B will be printing again towards the end of the year or early next year for restocking.

With regards to mini expansions:
- the River is already included with the base game
- King, Count, River 2, and Cult are now Expansion #6
- Corn Circles 1 and The Phantom should be included in the Z-Man agreement, but are not on the production schedule
- The Festival is probably also included in the Z-Man agreement, but is not on the production schedule. Will be available from Cundco next month.
- 6+1 minis are still in stock from the first printing by Rio Grande, and therefore not on the production schedule. Will probably get reprinted when stock runs out.
- The Windroses are currently exclusive to Carcassonne-on-Tour, but it's possible that Z-Man might be allowed to print this after the general release on Cundco.

Not part of the Z-Man agreement:
- Siege/Belagerer (exclusive to RGG/Mueller)
- GQ11 expansion (exclusive to Games Quarterly magazine, now defunct)
- Cathars, Tunnel, Plague, and Little Buildings (exclusive to Spielbox)
- The School (my gut tells me that this was a one-time print run, but you never know)

9. Bridges, Castles & Bazaars

The Number 8 here - Wheel of Fortune - runs at HiG as a special edition like the Winter-Edition or the Travel Carcassonne.
It is not only an expansion.

The correct number 8 is: Bridges, Castles and Bazaars.

I called with HiG today:
It is what I have told you in a previous posting- Z-Man follows the same numbers like HiG.

8. Bridges, Castles & Bazaars (arriving this week)

Wheel of Fortune is a special edition. You can get it at CundCo Shop.
