White meeples looks interesting but they are catch a lot of attention of players.

I often play white because I'm colourblind and it is easy to see for me. It hadn't occurred to me that it is also particularly easy for others to see too!
If you're playing against me your best colours to blend in are probably green, red and black - in that order. As well as blending in with the landscape it is also about blending in with each other. Having said that my family and friends always play a different colour at my request to make it easier for me to see what is happening.
This is also the main reason I bought 2 additional colours - orange and white - so that I could see easily which was which. Ease of visibility for me, in descending order, is - white, yellow, orange, blue, pink, black, red and green. Whenever it's just me and my wife she plays red but that's ok because I know if it's not mine it must be hers. (She still benefits from the camouflage effect that you mention though I'm sure!)
In games with large numbers of players I just request that they all choose something other than green.
If I ever play 8 players? I won't care about the score obviously so it doesn't matter.
