I'll let you know more after I get home and compare (wish I had brought some wood to work for comparison, but I didn't expect the package to arrive this quickly) ... but general size and shape seem about right. Using a ruler I printed off the internet (what could possibly go wrong?) they are about 16mm tall, 15mm wide, and 8.5-10mm thick. Much better thickness than the other acrylics I bought from Spiel Pro earlier this year. Anyway, these ones from MeepleSource do have some variation on the thickness; maybe about a millimeter between individuals? But aside from the little defects, these feel quite satisfying (and I'm pretty picky).

After taking another look, I am seeing a few more defects. Minor blemishes are to be expected, of course (like the blips we see in the pictures on their website), but there are also some tool marks/gouges and rough edges on a few of the meeples. Oddly enough, the extraneous colors are fine and every gouge is on a meeple that corresponds to an actual Carcassonne color.

I'm going to ask to have those replaced when they replace Lefty (who also, it turns out, is missing part of his leg).

The meeple design has changed a couple of times though the Carcassonne lifecycle. Based on the photo these meeple look older in design that the latest standard-meeple, but it's hard to tell when they're not side by side.

I'm not much of a photographer, but here's a quick comparison. Some of these used the phone-cam's flash and others used my dining room table light. The photos were super dark, so I punched most of them up in Photoshop (brightness/contrast +10 or +20 each). Each shot shows the same meeples in the same order:

RGG 2000 follower — official Phantom — MeepleSource acrylic — English Big Box 5 follower

Based on the thickness, I'd say they didn't set out to duplicate the phantoms really; but rather to duplicate normal followers in acrylic. And as Decar pointed out, they seem to have used an earlier meeple design as their template.

They certainly do look quite close to the BB5 meeple. Though quite a bit thinner - that's a bit of a shame. But they still look pretty good!

So for those photos last night I arbitrarily picked green, but it turns out that was an unfortunate choice as green turns out to be the thickest faux-fantom! This morning I subdivided one of the sets of 18 by thickness, and they seemed to fall into three groups: about 8.5 mm, about 9.5 mm, and about 10.5 mm.

In the first photo, I've tried to position the meeples and the camera to adjust for parallax, but it's tricky. I guess you'll just have to take my word it for that these measurements are probably good within about 0.25 mm.
