Ooooooh!!! Awesome!!!

Have lots of fun!

BTW, I'm a great fun of Fluxx... I'd appreciate your thoughts about the board game version. Thank you in advance. ;)

Just gave Fluxx the Board Game a go, and the fam and I all like it!  The shifting rules are very Fluxx-like, but the board elements give it a lot more strategy.  You can actually plan your card play and board moves toward a goal and not rely on as much luck as regular Fluxx.  For this reason, I think we like the gameplay better than Fluxx.  Regularly playing blue, I also especially like the blue meeples that it came with.   :blue-meeple:  The only thing I would fault is the bland artwork (of mundane things like a toaster, loaf of bread, and things like that).  Fluxx does theme very well (be it Star Trek, Doctor Who, super heroes or, one of my favorite Fluxxes, Jumanji).  The theme for the Board Game is very underwhelming and could've benefitted greatly by using the art styles of any of the previous mentioned Fluxxes.  (Hey, Andy Looney, if you're reading this, you do a million versions of Fluxx.  Why don't you do any other versions of the board game version??!)  So in conclusion, if I were to rate the game, I'd give it a 9 for gameplay and a 7 for theme/art for an average score of 8.   :(y)  Btw, speaking of Looney games, have you (or anyone else) tried any of their Pyramid games?  I encourage anyone to check out Pyramid Arcade, which includes a bunch of super fun games.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, Meepledrone!  It was a great day of fun and a great haul of board games (and a few other things).  And I won 2 out of 3 games of King of Tokyo too.   ;D

Official Rules / Re: artist tile and farms

I always assumed that this tile has only 1 field. But I do not know about any official clarifications in this regard.

Official Rules / artist tile and farms
« Last post by Death Meeple on April 11, 2024, 05:04:19 AM »
Hi all,

While attempting to steal a farm during a 3 players game, this situation happened and we couldn't find the proper answer: how many farms are on this tile (the one with the big meeple as a farmer on it)? One, or 2 (shown by the red arrows)?

-My opinion: it's only 1 field, since we can clearly see a tight green border on the tile. As a visual game, with the exception of the bets, this should indicate this tile has only 1 farm. As a result, a curved road connecting the road and the bridge would allow me to join the bottom farm.

-"Neutral" player opinion (not in any farms at the moment, but placed the bridge tile to try to prevent me to score too much point by joining the bottom farm): was firstly convicted the artist area separate farms on the tile, but after further examination, admited the green border should mean there is only one farm on this tile.

-"Stolen" player (has 1 meeple in the bottom farm I'm trying to reach with this big meeple): convinced the artist area creates 2 farms on this tile. Mildly admitted it could be a single farm due to the green border of the tile, but really unsure about that.

We ended up admitting this tile has only 1 farm, so reaching the bottom farm would be easy for me. Indeed, we couldn't find a clear answer on WICA and decided the visual aspect should prevail.

Next tile placed by the "stolen" player was a tower, used to capture my big meeple, and solving the situation for everyone. At least, our question about it didn't really impacted the game!  :)

Can anyone clarify if, in this case, the artist area separates the farms or not? I promised my friends an answer next time we meet to play and have a game together!
