I'd say, if you really want to keep up with the new expansions, buy a Carc II base game and then buy just the new Carc II expansions to use with that. But as for buying all the old expansions (which you already own) again, I'm of the opinion that the money would be better spent on other games (or other things altogether), of which there are many.

I agree with this - this is what I'm doing.

While I agree that a reprint maybe unlikely, I would totally buy a new printing of the River 3.

Thanks for clarifying! And let me know what you think of Hunters and Gatherers with Scout! Looks like a game version I would quite enjoy.

I do usually like playing with it - it adds another nice element to the game, but sometimes the tile effects can be a bit unbalanced and can potentially skew the game in one person's favour right from the start. The 'Scout' tile in particular is incredibly powerful if one player draws it.

Is there a difference in the V1 vs V2 directions for scoring... Just thinking back to something I read.

Not that I am aware of - I am fairly sure everything is exactly the same.

I am considering getting the older version as I'm upset that Z Man didn't put Scout in new edition! (Nor was the gingerbread man in my Z Man Winter Edition) and my new V2 Z Man expansions were in the wrong color! Definitely not doing much for consumer confidence.

To be fair, RGG (V1) didn't put the Scout in the old edition either, and their tile colour matching was just as bad, if not worse, than the Z-Man V2 editions.

Luckily, in this case, V1 and V2 have the same tile art. I bought V2 not long ago as I decided to finally put the Scout tiles which had been lying around to good use.

Even better is the fact that, compared to regular carcassonne, there is no significant colour difference between the base and expansion tiles! Hooray!  :))

So to answer your question, its probably easier and cheaper to buy V2, and it makes no difference since the only change between them is the box art.

And thanks for reminding me - I need to give this game another play

I guess meepleater would´t have a second extra set of the Tunnels he would be willing to put into circulation, would he not? I´ve been looking for the Tunnels for a reasonable price, too, but no luck so far and I also missed the republished set at nostheide by just a bit.   :(

I'm afraid not :(

I have a spare set of Tunnels. It's been used, unfortunately, but its still in good condition and its yours if you want it.

How much would you like for it?

Honestly I'm happy to give it for free, although postage would be nice :)

I'm not a huge fan of the 2 player version (although I love Duel so that doesn't matter). I think the game works very well with any other number of players although personally I think 4-5 is ideal. Has anyone tried the team/ 8 player variants in the cities expansion?

And often we play with Leaders and Babel.

Is the Babel expansion good? Its the only one I don't have.

I can help you, but the postage from austria to here is already expensive. What do you need? Maybe you can get it in germany as well.

I was looking mainly for the Catan expansion, "Schaetze, Drachen und Entdecker", and this was only the only place I could find that still had it online (and even this one says only 2 copies left), so I may not have much choice re postage.

So I'm looking to order a couple of smaller things (including a relatively hard-to-find game expansion) from an Austrian website (http://www.dreamland-games.at) but they don't seem to ship to Australia.

Would anyone potentially be willing to order for me and send it on? In addition to all costs (obviously) I am also willing to offer a (small) Carc gift as a thankyou present.

I don't have the app, but I am curious to see what the gardens looks like, whether or not they have redesigned them for the older artwork.

The Princess&Dragon expansion has 30 tiles not 36 tiles.
There are 2 tiles with gardens in this expansion.
Oops! Forgot to verify those tile numbers. I looked all over for a copy of the rules or a photo but I couldn't find anything that shows or says how many Gardens are in the expansion. I'm going with SRBO on this one and agree that you're hiding things from us again. tsk tsk  >:D

kettlefish is apparently sworn to secrecy on many things. I'm sure she could share her secrets with us, but then she'd have to kill us. All of us...

But to do that she would need real names and addresses... uh oh...  :o

I meant the one drawn by Doris Matthäus,

Both versions come together with a magazine, which can be purchased here: http://cundco.de/en/magazines-und-books/150/spieldoch-1/2016?c=72

This will include the Doris Matthäus labyrinth tile.
