It depends on how one interprets the initial statement: I interpreted it as: "Red has this tile in hand, not yet placed"

1) Yes it is!
b.1) Open the left gift, to allow his field meeple into the city cap on the same tile. THEN place the tile. THEN use the tile's feature to double-size his meeple.
c) in this case 0 :yellow-meeple:   12  :red-meeple:

That is certainly an interesting idea ;D
this also makes pig placement strategically valuable ^-^

Unofficial Rules / House Rule for pig herd (River2+Dragon)
« on: April 18, 2022, 12:12:09 PM »
Hi,

We play by a house rule, where we put a  :@ piece (e.g. from fortune wheel) on the pig herd tile.
This had an added effect of the dragon being able to eat it. This creates an duel between trying to get the field as big as possible, and reducing the score by having the  :@ be eaten

We also plan on using a similar rule for the sheep (e.g. on halflings, still looking for fitting figures). This then also adds that one cannot score this feature multiple times for free

Correct, but you have an edge case when the bunny is not in play.

Quote
"Sollte sich der Hase nach Legen der ersten Osterhasenkarte noch nicht auf dem Spielfeld befinden (es wurde noch keine Osternestkarte angelegt), beginnt der Hase seine Bewegung auf der Osterhasenkarte."

===

"If the bunny is not yet on the board after the first Easter Bunny tile is placed (no Easter Bunny tile has been placed yet), the bunny begins its movement on the Easter Bunny tile."

The same situation can happen when the dragon eats the Easter bunny and an Easter Bunny tile is placed before any new Easter Nest. In this case, you will have to place the bunny on Easter bunny and move it from there, as if no Easter Nest hadn't been placed yet during the game. Otherwise, you should not be able to move the bunny of not in play.

oh okay. that seems to be ignored in the english translation of the rules. or I'm just too blind to see it :D

As a side note, in the original rules, this scenario could happen if the Easter bunny off the board (e.g. removed by the dragon). If this was the case, after placing the Easter Bunny tile, the bunny would be placed on tile so it can be moved... :(y) :(y)

uhhh I don't think so. If I take the fan-expansion rules it equates pretty much to: nest=volcano, bunnytile=dragontile. and we play a bunny tile, don't we?  ;) :D

I tried to figure out the scorings for the "original" fan expansion version. Turns out the placement of the bunny is impossible in that case. thus it definetly has to go by HiG rule only.  :))

First Attempt

q1.1:
Red gets 4 road points. Yellow gets 8 city points

there has to be something i'm missing. it cannot possibly be that easy :o

q1.2:
Scoring the nest: Yellow gets 2 for completing the nest. yellow gets 2 for the meeple on Y1 and Y3, red gets 1 for the meeple on R1, blue gets 2 for the Meeple on Y2 and B1
Scoring the bunny: 2 eggs yellow, 2 eggs blue, 1 egg red
So  :yellow-meeple: 6 Eggs       :blue-meeple: 4 Eggs      :red-meeple: 2 Eggs

That is, if we take the HiG rules.

Edit:
I completely forgot to NOT count the meeple on finished features because the nest and bunny are scored AFTER regular scoring and thus AFTER the meeple are removed from the board.
This obviously removes 2 eggs from Red and Yellow   :-X

So  :yellow-meeple::blue-meeple::red-meeple: 0 is my answer for Q1.2

Official Rules / Re: Message 1 with Inns and Cathedrals
« on: March 18, 2022, 09:27:56 AM »
You count them as if it was the End of the game right now.

The Inn and Cathedral are a part of the feature. the german rules for BigBox6 even mention those cases. 0 Points if you have one. You do not count fairy bonus and similar additional scorings.

General / Re: My 2nd edition is ALMOST completed... or is it?
« on: March 17, 2022, 08:04:22 AM »
I'd consider the 20th anniversary to be a special version of C3. Same design of the walls, clipped buildings that go to the end of the Tile, etc. But the additional glossy Printing makes it somewhat different from the regular C3. It's a special edition after all (is that one word?).

Hello everyone,

I have a question that may be obvious to answer.

Regarding the ferries: if I extend a road that has a 4-way Lake. Let's say the ferry goes from North to South and I extend on the South, would it be possble to move the ferry so that it goes East to West?

This could be very interesting with the Dragon, Tower and stuff like that. Imagine being able to Void up to 49 points of your opponent :o

wait, the road needs to be connected to the FERRY?  :o ???
