Just to confuse things, isn’t it actually a 20 sided dice, with the numbers 0 to 9 on two sides each? Back in the old days, when playing RPGs, we painted the numbers of one set white (1-10) and the second set gold (11-20), or you could use two dice  (red and black) to roll 1 to 100.
No, a d10 has just ten sides.

It was my understanding from watching the video at The Gamecrafter that his flags are also laser-cut from wood.

I ordered a set in order to have them for my collection, but I don't expect I will use them, as my d10 method is superior.

What is your D10 Method?
I bought some d10 in the same colours as the meeples. Each time you lap the board, turn the d10 to the next number.

Unofficial Rules / Re: Avoiding Analysis Paralysis

I'm going to preface my answer by saying that I don't use this variant in my games because it prevents the next player from having the opportunity to draw the tile in your hand, though I do understand that all players are equally disadvantaged in this way. One of the oldest variants in the game involved wooden tile holders which saw each player having a hand of three tiles to choose from on each turn. The person who came up with this variant made VERY nice tile holders in the shape of city walls. If I were to play with that variant, I would say that each player would have the choice of playing any of the three tiles in their "hand", OR they could play their Abbey tile. I could also see some people deciding that the Abbey tile takes one of three places in your hand until used.

My answer to your question, therefore, would be that the player could choose to play the tile they drew at the end of their previous turn, OR they could play their Abbey, but I would probably require them to play the tile they drew on their next turn.

Points 1), 2) and 3) are also problems to an extent in the originals, but are not as intense. 1) The carboard is more maleable than wood so the tightness can be adjusted. 2) carboard has printed decorations and doesn't stain anything. 3) carboard flags are thinner and so the soot layer is smaller.

The whole world seems to be having supply chain struggles right now. I'm hoping that Z-Man has an order in with their supplier and is just waiting for it to arrive. My fear is that there are no open orders, and that they will use this opportunity to switch over to third edition artwork. I'm sort of hoping that someone in here might find a copy at their FLGS and we can work something out.

The one on Amazon.co.uk is the German edition.

Do any of the UK shops have online shopping?

My C1 collection also started very quickly. I was introduced to the game at a friend’s house. I had to own a copy for myself and asked him where he bought it. He told me the name of the store, and I went there as soon as I could. It was a FLGS in a local shopping mall, and they had a prominent display of all the expansions that existed at the time. The Tower was the most recent expansion, and CK&C existed as a set of three separate minis. I stared at the shelf for a few minutes considering what to do, then grabbed some me of everything and bought it. I went back to that store every six months and bought the spin-offs one by one; at that time there were only six including the travel edition. I continued to buy from him as new things came out, and was able to secure some of the more difficult to find items thanks to people on this forum.

Someone is catching up very quickly...  :o

Instead of d10s, you could get Meeple Flags from Cundco (when available) or the orifinal ones from The Game Crafter:

Just saying! >:D
I saw those flags and they look cool. I will probably pick some up when possible, but d10s allow me keep score all the way up to 500 on the vanilla score track and up to 1000 on a 100-point track.

I'm regretting not picking up more C2 stuff when it was easier. I have the base game, I&C, T&B, and Under the Big Top, as well as some of the Cundco minis and a few Spiel tiles that Kettlefish sent me back in the day. In the past 48 hours I've ordered P&D, Tower, A&M, CK&R, H&S, and the BigBox mini expansions on eBay; another ArtBin storage case on Amazon, two stickers for labelling my ArtBin cases; another copy of the special figure upgrade set, some trade goods upgrades, and two sets of Phantom meeples from MeepleSource; and a whole pile of mini-expansions and a 20th anniversary drawstring bag from Cundco. Somehow I overlooked the new edition of Half & Half, but that's ok because I also need to order additional meeple colour sets from Cundco. Still to be purchased are some more drawstring bags for meeple storage, some d10s for tracking laps on the scoring track, BC&B, and maybe a few more things, but I need to restrain myself until my credit card billing cycle resets.  :))

I like the first edition C logo for this site, and the second edition golden C on blue background for the rules wiki. Silver C on blue background would be my second choice, but Gold C is winning so...

All of the copies of this expansion on the open market are non-English editions, which isn't a complete dealbreaker, but I'd like to have an English edition if I can find one.

I see it in the same vein as counting cards at a casino. You’re not supposed to do it.

That's a great display for your collection! And some nice pieces, like the Adults of Carcassonne, City cardboard box and all the spin offs to be honest :D
Love to see it all there :D
Thanks, I’m very happy with it. The 4x4 Kallax fits very well in the alcove. There are a few gaps in my collection but I’m working to close them. Another nice piece which you can’t see in the photo is the Falcon expansion for The Castle spin-off. I didn’t think I would ever get my hands on it.
