Great conversion! As it happens, I've just finished adding a base to my own Bjursta - I'll have to upload some photos later.

Can I ask, do you put the original table tops back on?

Yes we are able to put back (all or part of) the original toppers !

We just finished creating our gaming table by "hacking" our dining table.

General / Developing a mobile scoreboard
« on: February 09, 2015, 08:36:40 AM »
Hi everyone,

I'm currently developing a mobile web-app for a Carcassonne scoreboard and in order to create the best experience for all users I'd like to get your feedback on the pourquoi planned features.

My primary concern is about the way to enter scores, here are three options :

1. Simple type : you enter the score for each player (and maybe the kind of feature : city, road, cloister, etc).
2. Advanced type : you enter the score along with detailed bonuses like fairy, gingerbread man, etc.
3. Beginners mode : you enter the kind of feature (road, road with inn, city, city with cathedral, etc) and the number of tiles along with detailed bonuses (as above).

Hard to choose between those options... Details would help to create detailed game stats but may slow down scoring with lots of manual actions on the app.

Ideas and comments are welcome...

Thanks !

To me, Inns & Cathedrals and Traders & Builders don't sound like "major expansions". They're great, they had tiles and new scoring mechanism but not much strategy like Princess & Dragon or the Tower.

Those two may be considered as destructive ones but they really bring a lot of thinking before laying tiles on the table (especially the Tower).

I&C and T&B should be packed with every base game set ;)
