I'm really looking forward to that expansion, I've made it for the original game Castle. And I'm very happy with it.

Years ago I paid somebody on this forum to assemble and ship a copy of this expansion to me. But after making sets for the first round of people who bought them, that person dropped the project leaving a bunch of us without copies. If one was ever shipped to me, it must have gotten lost in the mail (or worse, my mother-in-law's basement). In any case, I never received it.
I liked the look of Zamek the second I saw it, and I also like the new art, which serves as a nice homage to the original art while updating and enhancing it. The fact that the expansion is finally being published just underlines my interest even more. I don't have infinite funds, but if one of these Polish distributors can ship it to New Zealand relatively affordably, I am very interested.

Best not to dwell on something that happened a long time ago, and instead use this thread to focus on this new chance to play, which will be far better than any home produced copy.
one thing I love about Zamek are the little easter eggs in the art. I hope there are more in Sokół.

I like the zamek box more than the other one. The artwork is very nice. It arrived today my Zamek. Now i need the falcon expansion.

“Until” is not the right word. April 27 is the official release date, so it will be available FROM that date onward. After that day it will still be possible to buy the Sokol expansion.

Shipping from Poland to North America is very cheap. A group buy could actually be more expensive because of the volume of the shipment.

The rules for Sokol follow the rules for Zamek. Step B is the placing of the special tokens on the defense towers. Since that step is not changed in Sokol, it is excluded. Step E is also missing in Sokol because it does not change, though Step F is added.

Thanks, Scott, for finding these. Although I'd put some images taken from web pages or the Polish version into the pages on WICA, I can now add the rules and examples as well. All I need, then, are the tile images.

Thanks for that. It says that it only costs 202.80 PLN, which apparently is 69 NZD. Granted, that's for land shipment, which will probably take months, but still! That's a freaking bargain. Am I missing something? Does the shipment somehow weigh more than 3kg?

Sorry, I was meaning the price for both the base game and the expansion.
Also, 69 NZD is cheaper than buying the base game of Carcassonne in New Zealand, which means apparently The Castle, The Falcon, and shipping is cheaper than buying something here...which is pretty on brand for NZ these days. I bought Dune: Imperium – Rise of Ix and Dune: Choam & Richese plus shipping from the US for less than Rise of Ix alone costs in NZ.

I got my notification for shipping - that just means there's an electronic tracking number generated and I can go to a website to look at the status of the shipment. Based on my experience this may or may not reflect reality. It's entirely random.

Annoyingly, my credit card declined the first attempt to pay. I verified that I wanted to purchase the product with my credit card, which put a clearance on the account. Then I went back and redid my order only for it to get rejected again! WTF?! I'm not sure what my next option is since PayPal doesn't actually seem too be an option despite the system suggesting it is and this is my only international credit card.

Maybe you could look into getting a PayPal credit card. That's what I used, and it works well for oversea (or any) orders that you want taken out of your PayPal account.

I had them cancel both orders and will try one more time tonight to make an order with them, but I'm not hopeful. I could order it from the above site and have it sent to the US for my mom to bring with her here in June, but I already want her to bring other games, so I'd prefer not to add this in addition to those.

according to DHL on their german website there are general problems for deliveries to NZ:

I think it took about 60 days to arrive, IIRC. I love how international media is making things seem so dire for New Zealand. It's annoying and things are certainly more expensive than usual, but it's not so bad and we are finally opening up again. Our national daily Covid cases have been sitting around 8500, which isn't awful although much worse than it was a year ago (0 except at the border).

All my orders from Cundco were between December and February. In order they took approximately 8 weeks, 3 weeks, 7 weeks, 3 weeks & 2 weeks to Australia. So some come through ridiculously slowly, but others super fast. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but I don't work in the postal sector.

Just had a look and it looks good to Australia. The website is very familiar, but I feel it had some problem last time I looked at it. Maybe it's the one that didn't have the base game when I checked it out last.
Just had one quick question regarding this copy of Zamek. Does the box size match all the other Carcassonne games Carcassonne Spin Offs or is it a different size? Thanks in advance. :-D

For those who are interested, I have prepared a French translation of the ZAMEK rules and the Sokol extension.
It's not perfect, but it allows you to play without having to speak Polish.

I am searching feverishly for this expansion, but I cannot find any polish stores which both ship to the US and also carry it in stock anymore.. ah! So sad. Does anyone have any leads about where it may be purchased from in my case?

contains the list of stores which have this game but not sure if they sent abroad.
On Aleplanszówki it says Wysyłki zagraniczne: W sprawie wysyłki zagranicznej prosimy o kontakt z konsultantem pod adresem sprzedaz@aleplanszowki.pl which means that you should write them an email regarding sending abroad.
On the last one, Planszomania, they state they only deliver to EU.
