Hi all,
I have picked up the Winter edition mini expansion the gingerbread man: https://wikicarpedia.com/index.php/Winter_Edition_The_Gingerbread_Man
I have the WE game with river and gingerbread man. The rules for the gingerbread man state - The wooden Gingerbread Man is placed in the city on the starting tile.
Q: Can I use the gingerbread man with the river expansion. I am confused as the starting tile for the river does not include a city.

I have played my first couple of games with Winter river and gingerbread man, just left gingerbread man to the side until the first tile with him on came out. This seemed to work fine. But to be fair I did not realise he was supposed to go on start tile.
The other option is put him on the first city tile that does appear.

You could also place the river and then place the start tile with the Gingebread man without closing its city.
No official clarification has been provided for this so far.

Perfect, thank you. We will try those variations. This leads to a second query! If you're playing with the River what do we do with the regular start tile from the WE game. A) remove from game B) play it immediately after the river, or C) mix it randomly with the other tiles.

The rules for standard Carcassonne state that you remove the start tile from the game if you play with the river. Probably the same with the WE.
But if mixed with the gingerbread man mini, I think the best solution is the one proposed by Meepledrone, associate the start tile to the river source tile, with the gingerbread man on the start tile, then start the game :yellow-meeple:
