Great conversation topic. For me, it has to be the 2014 tile since it was the first and actually depicts a gaming convention such as Essen, so it is the perfect giveaway for the event. It’s also the only one I was able to get so I’m a bit partial in that regard. I do like the uniqueness of the 2016 tile too, and like how the 2015 tile could blend in with my Carc I style.

The Marketplace / Giant Carcassonne Tiles!

I have been on holiday and came home to a set today! I haven't unwrapped them yet and am contemplating the best storage solutions.
Anyone have an idea on how best to store these!?
I stored mine in my Catapult box. Was looking for my Tower box but couldn’t find it. Perfect length and height for the tiles in 3 stacks, with a little extra width that I used part of the insert from that box to take up.

The Marketplace / Giant Carcassonne Tiles!

Received my set while out of town this week. Played it right out of the package tonight. Super cool novelty set to have. Plus, it’s the only version of Corn Circles 1 that I have (one of the few 1.0 items I don’t have - in small form)!

Now just need to get my hands on some giant meeples and giant tunnels...

Here’s a pic of the game. It really needed something though for scale, but zooming in shows the tiny translucent meeples we used.

Cool! They look really nice. I haven't made up my mind if I will go for that as well... but this helps but worries my wallet  >:D

Completely agree. Super cool but man that would be a hit to my wallet (around $10 USD per set for 10 sets). Naturally I’d have to get them all, as well as the matte finishes.

Well said Just a Bill and I withdraw my use of the term price gauging. I hope this transaction does make the buyer happy. Feel free to delete my post.

I haven’t chimed in in a while, but this sort of price gauging has no place on the CarcCentral website. I know this was discussed in the past but Push should take his lack of respect for our community somewhere else like eBay instead of hitting us in the face with it. Been arguing with Amazon all morning so I’m just in that kind of mood today.

General / Re: Carcassonne Expansion Randomizer App

While not as accessible as Halfling’s randomizer email service, and not something you can put on your phone (except as a pdf), I created randomizer cards a few years ago for that purpose. Instead of just randomly selecting expansions though, I made it to pick up each component of an expansion separately (for example The Builder or Portals-two of my favorites btw). You may want to consider that in your app development training.

Arrived today:

I got that one recently too. Really enjoyed our first four games of it.

Be sure to check out the entire box ;)

Nice haul Franks. Been meaning to check out Raiders; tried at Gen Con but they either had a line or took it off demo each time I went by their booth.

Good stuff Decar. I could make a good home for the Tower (my Tower has seen better days), the SpielDoch! mag and a Cundco bag, but with shipping from the UK to the US, there would probably be someone with more need for those items than I have. The orange phantoms are intriguing, since I use orange meeples quite often, but don’t know the rarity of it to make a reasonable offer. Maybe I’m out of the loop a bit, been a member here a long while but not too active lately, but how did you come across those?

Card sleeves for Carcassonne tiles?  :o

Nope nope nope, not going to do it, my OCD has limits.

Agree, although they are incredibly cool. I could certainly use a few for the signed tiles I have to keep those in pristine condition. Then again, some of those are German Castles, so I’d need double sleeves too. emoji code33]

Eight hours left on Museum. I'm back down to just the base game for now. There's an interesting discussion on BGG about people's pledges and the various expansions.

Just joined the Museum backing party. Followed Dirk2112 in getting just the base game + the inexpensive Cthulhu expansion.

JUANDJI
World's first board game with automagically moving figures, in hand-made wooden box, inspired by Jumanji movie.

Interesting just for the comments, about copyright of the game.  C:-)

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/piotrowski/juandji?

As I was reading the interesting comments, the project was pulled off of Kickstarter for being the subject of an intellectual property dispute. Glad I got to see this when I did. Entertaining from a reading standpoint, but no chance I’d ever back it. Thanks for alerting me to it Dragonlord.

It is my kids favorite. Without kids, I’d pass on Catapult.

Thanks Amorpheus! I guess it would do it for a party type Cracassone game with friends.

It would, but hopefully they improve upon the catapult if indeed they do reissue it in the new style (I’m doubting they will). The old catapult is barely functional.
