I would try with the River(s) to fill the board a bit.  :D

Marram is a new game (2020) that mirrors some Carcassonne mechanics, but takes things further - reversible tiles, opponents tile visible, lay 2 out of 3 tiles etc. It is not yet out in physical form, but it can be played on Board Game Arena

https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=marram

A detailed review of the game is available at BGG https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2439048/complex-game-belongs-board-game-universe-its-own-r

An interesting idea. Chain reaction mechanics sort of. If you can finish a segment and score with the meeple you place from your bank you get to do another turn (repeatable). Has this been tried?

Junior only? Ooops. Whell, I should have that one but unsure which version. Got to be Scandinavian though, as it's for kids they undoubtly made it in Swedish.

Hi Paul,

i know only the version from Enigma, containing Danish, Norwegian and Swedish. Can you provide me images (a link is fine) for the version with the Finnish language. I will also appreciate when you can provide an image of the new 2020 version.

Best

I got over 100 boxes. I'm sure I can provide a picture. :)

I should have the base game, few expansions and of course spin offs.

There are the Scandinavian versions.

First version has Danish, Finnish, Norweigan and Swedish in the same box. Update: We also import the English version if we wanted to buy that one instead (which I prefer but is a tad bit more expensive).

With the new graphics, the Scandinavian versions are only 3. Finnish rules not included any longer.

Changing the art on the back on cards is merely an inconvenience. Sleeves can fix that.

I never bought the game but enjoyed it very much in the gaming club.

Unofficial Rules / Re: Alternate rules for Catapult.
« on: July 08, 2020, 04:11:45 AM »
I have been toying with the idea to use it in conjunction with The Tower.
Using the catapult to hit the tower counts as a hit and you'd remove a wooden Tower piece. When all pieces are gone and there is a meeple there, it's returned to the owner.
Additional rules: if it was your turn and it's your meeple on the tower, the hit causes you to take back your meeple, regardless how many wooden Tower pieces still standing.
Additional rule 2: If it's your turn and it's your meeple that was on the tower when hit you can place it on a city, road or farm on that tower tile provided you have not alteady placed a meeple.

Unofficial Rules / Re: Leaving gaps on the board game
« on: June 02, 2020, 03:35:20 PM »
Gaps certainly was an option when we played with 10.007 tiles in one game as we played with real basic rules. But I filled any gap I could find to save space, and still won. ;)

I thought the tiles looked pretty, but I haven't opened it yet.

As long as they almost match the original/v2 art I'm fine with it.

Doubt I will be playing it though,  just wanted some new tiles and 10+ of each of the common expansions can only get you so far.

I am curious to test a 6 pl game using 6 towers and 6 dragons only to see how much we are able to score. But I digress. :)

Yesterday I finally decided to get me a copy of Safari from the local store. Better late than never.

Which expansions? Little space don' you?

Enviado desde St. Meeple Hospital

Any expansion really. Keeps the tiles less scrambled when moving the box so they don't wear out and the tokens/wooden figures separated in the other compartment.

Popping the inlays back in I realised this is a far better storage, for expansions at least.

Upsidedown.

Amazingly, this is still available in a few stores in Sweden. But the price and shipping you'd end up with roughly 15 Euros including shipping.
