Limited stock of The Gingerbread Man is available again at Cundco.

It seems they really are cleaning out all of the corners to get ready for the 20th Anniversary!

As I commented on another thread, the LebD tile could be ordered as a spare tile... just in case you cannot live with the expansion misprinted version with 2 LebC tiles...

Do note this is the misprint version, with 2 identical tiles in it. Doesn't make a difference in gameplay, bit still good to know for people

He did not say that it was the wrong version. Even if it is the wrong version, I think it's okay. Because repeated sections are also good sections.

The missing tile (LebD) could be ordered as a spare part from HiG some time ago. I did it back in the day...  ;D
 
No big deal regarding playability, but OCD can be very persuasive...

The sooner they run out the sooner we can sell ours at a premium again (Totally kidding ;D)! Just want to spread the love. I know of a few people have been trying to track it down. I ordered two myself to tuck away. You never know when the kids might spill their hot chocolate and need a replacement tile!

They specifically mention that the tile is duplicated on the product page. Does that mean they won’t replace it now via the parts replacement service?

This is definitely not a joke. It is normal to sell at a higher price.
Even if he brushes the new version of Gingerbread Man on the new version.
As long as there is no stock of the old version of Gingerbread Man Promo, the price will continue to rise.

I initially planned to stay indifferent to this (posssibly last) reappearance of the Gingerbread Man in a same way as the discount of winter edition Crop Circles some months back, followed by their dissapearance from the eshop, did not quite excite me (I generally don´t like Crop Circles, I must confess). We so far do not own a winter edition of the base game so it seemed odd to stock with winter minis.
But a random look on the screen over my shoulder (bad habit, indeed!) of my younger son, followed by a frantic plea to buy this great-looking Gingerbread Man immediatelly somehow moved me to really do so and I secured one copy, resisting the openly expressed greed of my son who in the honesty of his seven years phantasized about a possible profit made by buying and reselling more copies - what the hell do they teach these kids at school? :-)
I also ordered right on the missing LebD tile as a spare part (it would internally bother me to know that there is one missing tile out there... this is a sign of completionism, right?).
I am happy today as the Gingerbread Man is available no more and I know deep in my heart that not having one would again internally disturb me. The consequence: I now stand in a queue of those wanting to get the winter edition of a base game :-D

It depends if they have it for replacement. Some tiles are sold out like river ii junction and also others

I'm speculating whether HiG is going to release some major expansions in WE artwork. CarcF has been removing all the WE fan expansions at HiG'd request for a while...  >:D

HiG misprinted Expansion 8 in Germany, so two tiles existing in C1 were missing in C2 and replaced by duplicates of other tiles. This didn't happen in other countries, but the tile listing in Cundco.de matched the tile distribution in Germany only. This error was solved in later batches.

Check this post with a snapshot of the original C2 tile distribution in Germany compared to C1.

The new version of the winter game is similar enough where this should match right?

I really hope they do reprint this (fixed) and crop circles though, seems mean to reprint the game but not the expansions but it has been done before (Like Pillars of the Earth from Kosmos?)

Sadly, you can't say that with Carcassonne... How many mini expansions have been out of stock before the base game?  :o

Just ordered another copy of Gingerbread Man. I have a copy somewhere—could be in the US, could be in a storage box here (I think I bought it here but sent it home with my parents when they visited in early 2017). Either way, I'm ready now for when the new Winter Edition with the Winter River is finally available widely. I also finally bought the Peasant Revolt, a replacement Under the Big Top tile, a copy of German Monasteries for my work, and (fingers crossed that it works) a replacement tile for the screwed up Gingerbread Man expansion. All in all, a decent haul if everything arrives. I couldn't tell from the listing, but does this Gingerbread Man edition still include the Gingerbread minifigure or are they all out of those now?

I ordered the missing tile. Is very annoying to have to spend 5€ for shipping, anyway. They should have sent the tile for free.

I've ordered another copy of "Carcassonne - Winter-Edition - Der Lebkuchenmann", so now I've a copy each for my two different Winter editions.

I just noticed something weird hahah.
I bought the Gingerbread man through a bidding on Ebay.
I already got the shipment and the tiles etc look legit.
But I got 12 tiles instead of 6. Some I got 3 times.

I think the owner had the misprint and the correct version and sent me both. However, It only included 1 figure.

Anyways, still happy I have got at least 1 complete version.

After checking the number of LebC and D tiles I can confirm he sent me both the misprint and the correct print, missing 1 figure.

Nice buy KBellon. Similarly, I purchased my original WE used and it was the one that included the gingerbread man, but it also came with the standalone gingerbread man expansion. Using both of them at the same time in games has created some huge scoring differences between first and last place!

Hi all.

If anyone from the UK is doing a Cundco order soon, I was wondering if I could piggyback on it for a single replacement tile (NOT LebD!)? As much as I believe in doing my bit to support the European postal systems, I don't fancy paying 6.45 euros postage for a 0.35 euro tile...

I need a "WinTier1" for one of my WE, to replace the "Win20Tier1" that I was sent as a replacement. It might not seem like much, but the animals are a lot smaller in the new version and I like the older style more. I suspect people here will understand! Also, the fresh white snow doesn't fit so well with the aged cream-coloured snow of my WE...

Happy to pay cost, postage, and something for your time!

I will have to wait until the new winter edition is available as I only started collecting spin offs in 2021. Have every one by now including expansions (except for winter base game + river).

But it seems as one of the most fun mini expansions they made up to now!

This is not the misprinted version. At least my copy that has just arrived is correct.

Just had an email from Cundco saying the LebD tile is not available via spare parts service as of order #62972. :-(

That said, I am very happy to be getting any copy at all!

My order #62972 went in 13th May via cundco.de/en

Got an email today saying it was dispatched today with a note:

    "Hello, unfortunately, the tile LebD is not available. Therefore you will get the following voucher code..."


I thought they did refunds. Anyone know? I used PayPal.

When did you put yours in? Hopefully you've got one.

Sorry there were no more spare LebD tiles left...  :'(

Depending on the case, I've had two types of refunds:
* In cash: Some Euro cents in a plastic bag included in the order with the rest of items I purchased.
* As a voucher: An email with a voucher code you can redeem in future order by including it in your shopping cart.

Haven't receceived any refunds via Paypal yet, but it may happen eventually...

That's certainly a quicker turn around than my order late on Thursday, even if you discount the weekend. I might just have been unlucky with the timing.

This is not the misprinted version. At least my copy that has just arrived is correct.

Could it be that the text on the English page is incorrect and the new issue is the correct set?

I have emailed Cundco and I will report anything useful I get back.

If anyone has anything definitive to add or when other sets arrive in the mail, please say!

As I said I received my copy today (ordered last Thursday on Cundco) and it has 6 different tiles, no duplicate, same tiles as depicted in the rule sheet.

But supertopix said he "discovered" (reading this topic) that he had the duplicate tile. Maybe he had it all along, he didn't ordered from the current Cundco batch. This is my interpretation.

This is true, but the descriptions are different. I suspect (and hope) it is just a wrong description and hope we are all getting correct sets!

One thing is, a while back they sold the expansion as well, and listed is as the misprint version. I remember because I bought it back then (and still have it).
So it could very well be that they forgot to update the English version of the website?

I have discovered this “wrong tile story” reading this topic. I’ve bought the expansion when Cundco sold it, long time ago and it has been sitting on the shelf since then. So now I’ve immediately :-) ordered another copy and 2 tiles :-) :-)…

That seems to be the best explanation.

Logically speaking, I do not see how it would be different whether you ordered from the English or German page either. They are both nested underCundco.de.

I just got my order and the Gingerbread Man version I got is the correct one... So no extra LebD tile was needed...

Conclusion: The English description on Cundco.de is wrong.  :o

"Hi Will, sorry for the confusion and thank you for your note. The English text was an old one. I corrected it now. This time it is the right version with the LebD tile included. :)"

LebD is no more available through the spare tiles service, I received today my package where few coins were instead of this tile. As my Gingerbread Man was complete, I do not mind this funny "cashback".
Among the spare tiles batch I also ordered two tiles from Japanese Buildings and looking at them, I find this mini one of the oddest ones. I do not have any of the Darmstadt tiles, though.

I think with the gingerbread man expansion, you always get it with German rules from Cundco.
The expansion was first released in a time when they would only ship with German rules. only fairly recently they started including English rules in the same rulebook. So if this was a older batch they found and wanted to clear up, I can understand.
