We played this expansion a couple times now. Found that it works better with 3 or more people, at least for us.
We do tend to place these tents near projects we already own, and try to get more near it.
Ive had to score someone else's acrobats once, to prevent her from getting a lot of points from the tent.
So for me its more a combination of the first and second option. Prefer to place it near a feature we own and that has no meeples from other players near it, so we can start more features around it.

Ive seen quit a lot on ebay for reasonable prices, just have to check shipping. I got mine from a uk website, so shipping to belgium might be more expensive. Id say ebay is the best option i think

It is indeed auction, and with no time limit. So when the seller thinks its high enough, or nobodys overbidding, the auction ends. So these are hard to win tbh

There are 2 versions of the travel edition. One has the bag with the scoring track; the other has it on the box.
Ive had to look specificly for the bag version when i was looking for mine, and almost got the other one too hehe

Having bought the expansion recently and after playing it a few times, i can make up my opinion!
I like this expansion. It pushes people more towards the battling aspect of this game, rather than everyone just playing their own game.
Especially planets are worth a lot of points (11 each!), so battling for them is promoted!
I prefer the Blaster, as this gives you a higher chance of a high number (at least, thats what it feels like).
I think we will be adding this expansion to our Star Wars Carcassonne Games!

Ive played the 10th expansion twice now and have gotten quit a lot of points through these acrobats. We turned out to mostly build our own pyramids, and only sometimes added to eachothers.
Like said before, ive scored some of my opponents pyramids to prevent them of getting lots of Big Top points, as it can add up to a lot.
I do like them, but not for every game

I'd say the dragon can eat the Gingerbread Man aswell. The dragon isnt shy of eating 'neutral' figures, like the mage and witch, and for me the dragon fits in this line...

Got another delivery in today! 2 actually.
One from cundco, with the star wars expansion, that im looking forward to try, the new manege frei expansion, and an extra cloth bag, as ive got more carcassonne games than bags atm.
And an order from spielematerial, with wooden commodities, like barrels, ribbons and wheats. Also got some nice gold bars and sheep, to up my game!
