I would say, just like the tournaments before, we go down the list and do them all at some point.
Does BGA allow both real-time mode and turn-based mode?

Totally agree....except missing out base game only!
BGA does support both, these tournaments would be turn-based.

Difference between turn based and real-time mode is, that in realtime mode you have reserved time to your turn and in turn based game you have time for whole game.
Game at all is same, you and other party are connected to server and you can stil play real-time in turn-based mode, you see, what other player are doing, and you can make your immediately when he finished. And so on.
So in general - turn-based mode is real-time game with possibility to leave game for a while multiple times until time dedicated to you is not gone (for example 2 days for basic game is standard on BGA tournaments)

Looks like it's going to be base game only which seems like a good way to get started before moving onto some expanded games! Thanks to everyone who voted. I'll set something up on BGA and invite everyone from the group to join.
You still have a few days to sign up if interested: https://www.boardgamearena.com/group?id=12347445

There's a lot of players in the CarcC Laeuge on BGA:
It would be nice if someone could identify people along side their CarcC screen-names.
This is the current list of participants:
I'm Decar2 ;D

I am Revelations.

Although I set the tournament to invite only, and then invited everyone from our CarcC group BGA individually when the group invite didn't work, there's a chance that non-CarcC members may have snuck into the group and hence the tournament due to the privacy settings on the group. If this is the case then we won't be able to match every BGA username to a CarcC member, which is a shame, but if it grows our community here then there's a silver lining I suppose.

We can use some power of SMF (app working here on CarcC).
When you click to Members - Search for members
There are possiblity to search bt : Search by messenger nickname
This can be renamed to Search by BGA nickname
Problem is, that this messenger nickname is now not showed in profile or in edit profile.
And then sombody will join CarcC BGA group, he has to have fulfilled this value in profile on CarcC.
So example. I'm Bumsakalaka on CarcC and Karpenter45 (ahh this age is every day closer).
I'll join CarcC group on BGA.
@danisthirty check name if exists. If not ask user to add it, if not he will be removed from group.
I think it's fair. But it brings work to @Meepledrone for update CarcC and @danisthirty for authorize users.
This is the way :D

I'm always in favour of anything that involves work for other people, but have to think more carefully about it when it involves me having to do something... ;)

I know, this is reason why I mentioned it as cons for this solution.

Congrats!

When I read some articles about ELO, there is that in first match are joined similar players with +- equal ELO.
I checked current tournament, it it's player with 220 agains 400 etc.
Maybe it has some reason. This is giving automaticaly advantage for players with higher ELO.
And maybe it's good :D Just tellin'

Congrats Leven, Top Elo won the tournament.
I believe that Han Shot First is known as Riker on CarcCentral.
-
Congratulations Leven, and to everyone else who took part no matter where you finished. :(y)
I plan to restructure things a little before our next tournament in an attempt to ensure that it really is only CarcC players who take part. I don't intend to be awkward about it, but it kind of defeats the purpose otherwise.
Thanks for that table Leven; it will come in very handy!
-
Thank you guys. :)
And thanks to Dan for the idea and organizing the tournament. (+ For allowing me to exceed my thinking time in our game. ;) )
As for the pairings in the first round, I'm afraid BGA doesn't use any sophisticated method, it's just a completely random thing.
