Perhaps in some cases. In mine, there is also a heavy coffee table on top of them. If someone trips over the coffee table it would be their feet that got damaged rather than the maps!

Got my MoC today, just in time to play it on Halloween!  Also happy to receive the Ukraine and Taiwan maps.  Shipping to USA in under 3 weeks; I'm impressed.  Though with the cost of shipping it should've come in a gold-lined box!  :D
