Fruit-Bearing Trees

Have just bought this mini-expansion and would appreciate some clarification. I have read the rules that came with it and have also read through wikicarpedia but none of the examples help.

For 'Selling' the rules state that instead of taking a new fruit token you may sell 1 to 4 different fruit. This implies that there must be fruit still on the tree for selling to be an option. If this is true then a tree that has no fruit left cannot be used to sell fruit. I have seen play-throughs that sell regardless of whether there are any fruit left. Is there clear guidance on this or have I created a problem that doesn't exist?

Welcome to the forum.

Selling fruit does not require that an adjacent tree must have some fruit tokens left on it. You only need fruit tokens on a tree to harvest them.
