Colored Dragons
« on: February 16, 2021, 11:16:09 AM »
Colored Dragons found on Etsy! I had a fan expansion that I can’t find at the moment but it was about everyone having their own colored dragon that gets on the board when their colored egg tile is drawn. I’m forgetting the rules, but I think I was tinkering with the player moving their dragon color instead of placing a follower on their turn, but the dragon movement is limited to like 3 or something. Maybe someone on here more savvy at locating old threads can source the original post  >:D

Anyways, here is the link looks like they have all colors except red:

PM me for for a list of remaining items from the Carcassonne Shoppe.

I don't know about those rules, but the coloured dragons may be bought from spielmaterial too, with one mor color (grey), and a lot cheaper:

Thanks for the cheaper link corinthiens13! I wonder if the fan expansion posts got lost from the forum conversion several years back.  May have to get these and bring that idea back to life  :yellow-meeple:

The ones at Spielematerial.com are the cheapest ones!  :(y)

I have come across several times this offer on eBay selling the colored dragons as part of a fan expansion. Scroll down to see the rules:

Okay, these variations sound amazing!! Mine was closest with variation 5, but now seeing the other ideas, think this deserves a play at the table  8) :yellow-meeple: :red-meeple: :green-meeple: :blue-meeple: :black1-meeple:

As fan of fan expansions I have to say, that those ebay seller are doing excelent work for their increase of sells.
I found several "fan expansions" as "variants" of game only with added new figures to increase price of selling item with added some "variant" rules or "fan rules" for added figure.
But I like this Dragon rules. It's devastating game at all :D Image game with 4 players and 4 dragon on board in Variant 1 "DRAGON'S LAND". None of meeple is "safe" :D
Check Fan Expansion section on WikiCarpedia and also some Slovak sci-fi projects in English https://www.scifi.sk/en/

Haha yeah they are getting quite clever with enticing buyers  :P Dragons Land is definitely aggressive but I am now intrigued with how it would go down.

We actually play a version where every player gets a dragon in their own color as well as the "universal dragon" (the normal dragon from the game). Whenever you draw a volcano you may initially place the "universal dragon", your own dragon, OR move any existing dragon on the board to it (only one). Then, when a dragon tile is played, you take turns moving the "universal dragon" as per original rules, OR you may move the dragon of your own color two spaces. We threw in an extra set of dragon tiles and volcanos to keep things moving. We have also incorporated it with the towers where the towers only remove dragons. Kind of a way to counter so many of them being on the board. It is busy and isn't perfectly balanced, but it is fun on occasion!
