20 euro for a base game which gives a total of 22 tiles and 5 neeples extra is a pretty good deal.

Wow! This honestly surprises me. And the new feature actually looks good – it's not some garish "10!". This is definitely the base game to buy if you are looking to start your Carc2.0 collection. 72 base game tiles + 12 River tiles + 10 Festival tiles + 5 Abbots. Definitely worth the price in cardboard.

Will they release the festival tiles separately, do we think? For those of us who have already caved and bought Carcassonne II?

I take it back. There is still a garish "15!" instead of a more neutral watermark. But at least they have an actual feature on the tiles now – a little tent in a field. Still an upgrade, albeit less of one.

The fair part looks cool, definitely a big improvement over the old version. I don't like the 15 though.
