Oooh! First edition for a decent price (currently). Not bad at all. Granted I already have this version, but I highly recommend it if you don't!

The seller says that not all the tiles have watermarks. Does he just mean that the base game tiles don't? Or do some of the expansions in this box have watermarks and others not?

BigBox I:
- base game - without watermark
- expansions (1-4) - all with watermark

There are 4 expansion tiles on the picture in the auction: RRRR from T&B and Tower, Cathedral and T-junction with portal. Of this samples only the Tower tile seems to have a watermark. Which is odd, because the Tower is IMHO one of the expansions with lesser need of the watermarks, because all tiles include the feature, which makes the tiles easy to spot and sort.

All the tiles except the base game and The River had watermarks in my copy.

The description says "This set is unusual...", so maybe some kind of missprint. Or more likely, a repacking of pre-watermark printed expansion in the Big Box not the original content?

I'm guessing the latter. Probably had a bunch of the expansions except The Tower before purchasing it, and then the owner swapped them out. I did the same thing with King, Count & Cult when I gave it to my brother-in-law. I wanted the watermarks, he didn't care.
