Anybody here play the iOS Carcassonne?
« on: October 20, 2014, 06:01:57 PM »
Anybody up for a quick game from time to time. Maybe we could start an informal iOS Carcassonne league.

If you're interested post your Carcassonne "Add a friend link" or PM me your email.

I have all the expansions. My go to is River, Inns and Traders. I'm not a huge fan of the Princess and Dragon expansions but I'll play it every now and then.

Hi Duncan, I have the iOS app but your friend request didn't work. It says it has either expired or been used by someone else, so it looks like the link works one time only.

Edit: Here is my link (my iOS name is Ultimo Dragón): carcassonne:///f/afdb3ee54c533abd

Ah Jungleboy! ...so you re-installed the app? If you want to play, check the PM I sent you back in May.

Yes, I eventually caved in. I think it was because I needed some practice for the World Cup.

Played against Duncan90 (JiveCat in the game) and it was a tight game. Very good player!

If we start playing against each other on iOS I think we should decide whether to use the Crosses and Remaining Tiles feature. I always disable it but I see the crosses on Jéré's screenshot. If people want to use it, that's OK, but I think all players in a game should have the same setting to make it fair.

This option applies to both players. It is set for the game, not something players turn on/off individually.

I'm fine with that also! It's good that you mention it so if I create a game to play against you, I will disable that (for both of us).

Ahh, good to know. It would be good to have this ability (for farm hints for example) in JCloisterZone as well.

Quevy and I played our first iOS game tonight using just the base game ... and we had a draw! 112 points each.

Looks like you had a great game, well done to both of you. No surprise to see all those gaps in the middle of the board! Was there a lot of meeple trapping going on by any chance?  >:D

I imagine a rematch is in order? Hopefully the option to play against non-random opponents will be coming to the Android version soon...

Since there's at least four of you on the forums who have the iOS app (and probably more if you asked further afield) how about some sort of Carcassonne Central iOS league?

Another potential signature for you: "Unhappy unless organising leagues."  :green-meeple:
