I'm just happy they finally pay tribute to me, by releasing a tile in the shape of a W! 
Don't know who the other tiles are for, but clearly the Circus Maximus tile is a tribute to me 

There is also an L-shaped tile

I believe he meant dimension wise, aka bigger/ smaller/ same size as Carcassonne tiles

I'd say they were somewhere between being smaller and a bit bigger than Carcassonne tiles. Hope this helps.

I don't think it needs to be used as starting tile, this tile also exists in the normal base game (other than starting tile)

On the other hand, it can be a good idea to use it as a starting tile.

It reminds the players to read the rules of the game (and ask for clarification) before starting the game!
