News about Spanish and Polish Monasteries
« on: February 10, 2016, 08:11:20 AM »
Hi guys,

I only came across quite interesting news about the Spanish and Polish Monastery expansions, that have been posted on CarcF today. Last weekend the big Carcassonne Fan Weekend was held with Klaus Jürgen Wrede and some other important people from HiG and CundCo. One of the CarcF members was there and asked about those two expansions. Te answer was that there are still plans to release them, but unfortunately the responsible national publishers are stuck somewhere in the planning process.

I'm not sure if we can do anything to help, but at the moment we are discussing on CarcF, if the Carcassonne Community can help in any way.

Which artwork would this be released in? Let's hope they can cover both, even though it would more likely be for the newer artwork
If only I had another Halfling.....

No I think it will be for the old artwork. Because it was started a long time ago.

That's great news for me! Even more, because I haven't heard a thing about Polish edition. I've just asked Bard on Facebook about their plans.

The results were unofficially counted and reported on the Carcassonne Pieza de Inicio blog shortly after the vote.

But as I wrote elsewhere, I asked some people from Devir in December about the status of the Spanish Monasteries and they said they had not chosen the monasteries yet.

Thank you for asking on Facebook if there is any progress. I (as probably anyone here) am looking forward to any news related to the topic. :D

As far as we know, there hasn't been any information about design yet, since they haven't even decided on the monasteries. I guess this is the crucial point. Both publishers still haven't told HiG which monasteries they would like to publish (and personally I doubt that they have decided on ones yet). This is why it might be interesting/important to know, if the two national publishers made any progress in chosing six monasteries.

Here are the results of the Facebook poll about the Spanish Monasteries that was (inoficially?) published on the website of Pieza de Inicio. On the website is also a map of Spain with the location of the six monasteries.
