Gamecenter is the iOS games app so this discussion should be in the iOS thread. ELO is a running tally for each player based on the games that they have played (i.e. you gain a certain number of points for winning a game - the exact number depends on how many points you and your opponent(s) have - and you lose points if you lose a game).

Hey Jere, thanks for the game. I don’t mind admitting that I got a bit lucky towards the end but sometimes that’s just how it goes and I’ve certainly been in your shoes plenty of times.

Hopefully I will be able to justify spending the money on some/ all of the expansions soon, then we can get some bigger games going on. For the meantime though, if you’d like to play another basic game I’d be happy to have a rematch?

Thanks again for the iPod anyway. Now that I have access to iOS Carcassonne I’ve had requests from several people on Twitter so I’ve got a lot of people to play and a lot to prove in the process. Also, my wife and I got woken up by an unnecessarily creepy voice saying “Your turn” in the middle of the night too! That was funny, but only once we’d realised what it was...

Hahaha. I recommend to turn that voice off in Settings > Notifications > Carcassonne (turn off Sounds there).

Seriously I didn't mind loosing at all. It was an interesting morning: playing Carcassonne while eating breakfast, brushing my teeth and running to the train station... and finish the game in public transportation on my way to work.

(not saying it was an excuse for loosing!)

I will never refuse a rematch! Anytime!

Can somebody please tell me how to disable the "give all the tiles I desperately need to my opponent" option. Likewise for the "give my opponent all the tiles he needs". Also I think I have the "when to get tiles I need (if at all)" option stuck on "as soon as it's too late to use them". Can anybody help with this?

Haha, that's funny! Something similar happened to me some time ago. Last two tiles, 50 % chance to draw the tile, that would make me steel a meadow worth 50 points and win the game. I drew the other one and finished the game on the fourth place. XD

In my game with Jere I needed an rrxx tile to join 2 farmers onto the main farm to tie it for an equal share in the 30 points that were going to him. With 8 tiles left to play, 4 of them would have done it for me and although I would still have lost it would have been by just 13 points. However, he drew all 4 of the tiles I needed and I ended up losing by a much wider margin...

I agree with the guy on Twitter, I think it's fixed...

Oh even worse, poor you! Yes, the case, that he mentions doesn't seem very "random".
