Carcassonne E-mail game test 1

Hi there, tla!

That is part of the project indeed. To replay old games. Some of the features planned:

1. Create a membership to log in and do your 'move' and view statistics such as biggest city done, games won etc.
2. Able to do your move using E-mail, Submit button on the board itself or using a mobile phone.
3. Making a move is simply point and rotate using the board itself so players can avoid writing their move. A code will be generated depending on what you do which you can copy and paste into the E-mail.
4. Each game played will be saved, step by step, and can be rewatched using forward and backward buttons, or watch it unfold itself.
5. A chat system. Already have a few easy and decent ideas for this.

As much as I'd love to have expansions and had plans for fan expansions, the project is just too large for someone like me. I am redesigning this to only hold the basic game for now.

The very first beta that will be released, will have players manually doing the scoring. I want this game to be as much as possible as a real game.
  The advantage of this idea is, players can play without being online waiting for others to do their move!

I don't see why not. A four player game if the other two is still interested. It's been a while since last so I have to refresh everything. Summer's been crazy beautiful I've been enjoying it more rather than working on this. 

Monday or Tuesday next week I will know more. Once we get it going it will go fast (hourly / daily updates).

Welcome tla and frankdux, it's good to have you here.

As well as Yellow's excellent "Carcassonne by email" project, please check out the CarcCentral Carcassonne League forum if you're interested in playing against other members here. Our first league is now very close to completion with just one match to go but this will undoubtedly be repeated in future. We are also planning a World Cup-style tournament which should hopefully be kicking off later this month and so is still open for entries!

I for one would love to play against a national champion; congratulations on your achievement tla!
