Sorry, yes there is a slight difference in the boxes.
So the Ventura and PixelPark boxes are close to the 3rd release from RGG, but not exactly the same.

The contents should be the same, I wouldn't take it out of the seal, but that's up to you of course.

Here's to me hoping there will be another one finding its way to the South of England, as I'm also in that area hahaha

Hey!
That is a nice one!
It is indeed different from the Ventura Games box that i have. I haven't seen this one before.

It is known that Ventura (and PixelPark) took RGG boxes and put their logos on them for further distribution in Australia, but I had only known of the one as shown on the WICA.

I have that one, but this one I haven't got!
I don't know how rare it is, but also haven't seen many of the PixelPark boxes, nso it could be a fairly low volume release.
As it follows the 3rd edition from RGG, it could be a first release batch.

Now I need to try and find one hahaha

Saturday
The big day!
We celebrated the birthday of Mrs Meepledrone, and all went home!

And then we realised there was a little thing going on in the city close to us.
So we went up and were ready for some Carcassonne at 10am sharp!
First stop was the Tourist Office, to get some Wonders!

This helped confirm that there are 4 wonders in this set!
Rules found online, shared with the Discord, and updates to the WICA were ready to go!

Then we split up to maximise our spread.
Linksux went to the championship, Challa went to introduce her friends to the game, and MMike and myself went Meeple bowling!
I turned out to be amazing at it, so a few throws later and we had our first coin, and also a meeple coaster!

We went on to make a new meeple keychain, visit a medieval town and of course we went to the Fill the Frame!
HiG set up a big wooden frame, for people to pick a Ile and glue it together to a massive landscape.
Of course I had to add a special tile...

Nearer the end of the day, we managed to get a set going

Of course I had to take that back to the frame, to make sure they saw the special tile!

The day ended with an ever bigger group meal, including @smoula and Mrs Smoula, who also brought some Czech Carcassonne for the Museum!

We went back to the apartment to play more Carcassonne, u til the early hours!
A winter/summer game, with gingerbread man, some interesting strategies and a strong victory by yours truly  ;D

So, I've been at the airport for 2 hours now; only 4 more to go to my flight!
Perfect time to make a little write up!

The lead up...
With the festival being confirmed a while back, and the success from the previous years, it started to gain my interest.
This year im not able to visit Essen, so an alternative Carcassonne trip was still possible.....
When @Meepledrone , @Linkarssonne , @MMike , @Challa007 and more people started to confirm they were going, I couldn't stay behind!

So it was decided. I would travel back to this wonderful city and spend a weekend geeking out over this boardgame we all love!

Friday
The alarm went off at 4:30am, and I was quickly ready to go. Cats fed, Willem showered and in the car on my way to the airport.
MMike and I met up at the airport and made our way to the plane. Chatting along the way about some of the crazy ideas building up.
The flight was fine, and as soon as we got my suitcase, Meepledrone and Linkarssonne were waiting for us at the exit!
Once we got to the car, we faced our first challenge; we brought so much with us all, that we had to play advanced Tetrissonne to get everything in.
But we managed to pack everything in less than 3 hours, so we were good to go!
Once at the bnb in Carcassonne, Challa007 was quick to come by and we all met and were able to catch up.
There was a long session of exchanging gifts, showing cool stuff and enjoying the time together.
Then, finally heading into the city, it was the first time for some to enjoy the wonderful view of this beautiful place!

When we walked passed the tourism office, we saw a little preview!

We could see at least 3 tiles and confirm some shapes!

We had dinner with a group of 12 international fans. People from Spain, Germany, France, UK, all together!
Of course we had to do something to pass the waiting time...

After dinner, we walked through the city, and of course I had to visit a special spot!

The well was the spot at the end of Scott's advent quiz, which I managed to decipher!

Once back at the apartment, we played some games, including Abstractssonne!

More to come!!
