Hi. I was updating my collection and for doing this I always use the " Collections and Expansions" page on WikiCarpedia (thank you to whoever created it! It's perfect for completionists) I noticed that the Wonders of Humanity expansion - while correctly listed subsequently along with its image - is not part of the C1/C2/C3 first inventory tables. Is this wanted or is it just an oversight?

Not sure if this the right place to share this, feel free to move the thread elsewhere if you deem it appropriate. I also don't know if this has been posted before, I tried to search for these but I didn't get any results. Recently I stumbled upon two different videogames involving Carcassonne and I thought it would be cool to share, even if it's about the real life city and not strictly the game. The first one is Serious Sam 4, a not-so-serious shooter where your goal is to kill everything that moves, while proceeding through scenarios. One of the levels is set in Carcassonne and the environment is enjoyable, there are not alot of images online but you can look for a video to have an idea of what the did. The second one is A Plague Tale: Innocence, a quite dark stealth base game with ALOT of rats. One of the levels shows how the game city is based on Carcassone, as you can see from this video. Finally, completely unrelated, I just read that the Olympic Torch will pass through Carcassonne on the 16th of May. You can see the full route here.

The rules say: "If a road or a city which ends on the Castle tile is completed, players get bonus points. Each player who gets points gets 3 bonus points for each castle which is involved." So, to get the bonus point, I must score a city, not just complete it, is this correct? If I complete a city or a road with no meeples on it, I get nothing, right?
Also, let's say I complete a 4 tile road that starts from a German Castle and ends into another. Rules say I get "4 points for the road and 2 x 3 points for the castles". This means I have three different scorings to manage with my messenger (4, 3 and 3)? Or do I have to consider only two (4 and 6)?
Sorry if this has been already explained somewhere.

Sorry if this has been asked before but I have no idea how to look for this info.
As per title, is it illegal to use online professional online services to print Carcassonne tiles for the sole purpose of personal use? I'd like to throw away all my "print-and-play" expansions (that I despise in their current form, that is adesive paper on a blank tile, it's terrible and I hate it) and have them in a "real" form, so that they are not immediately recognizable in a stack. I'm talking about the fortune teller, the city gates and easter in carcassonne.
A follow up question: is it illegal to use same kind of service to create custom expansion, again for the sole purpose of personal use? Do I have to ask for permission? If so, to whom? The german publisher? The one from my country? Klaus-Jürgen Wrede himself?

Just finished a game using for the first time the new Wonders of Humanity expansion. Definitely a positive experience, with a few nuances. First of all, my impression is that this expansion works way better in a game with 4 people. Playing one vs. one, my impression is that we'll ALWAYS pick Notre Dame (monastery) and Stonehenge (roads) first, in this order, leaving the other two wonders in the box. Notre Dame feels overpowered: 3 points for each placement close to a Monastery is insane: my sister got ALOT of points that way, while me myself managed to stay close to her only thanks to the Stonehenge tile and the big city in the south. In the end she won by 2 points, thanks to a second farmer she placed, with great prejudice, with just three turns to go. The wonders are also beautiful to look at on the map, even if the canonicity censor who lives inside my brain weeps at the sight of MORE non-french landmarks places there, in the middle of some french land Game recap- Base Game + Abbots + Farmers - Inns & Cathedrals (only tiles) - Wonders of Humanity Pink 210 - 208 Green

I was comparing tiles when I realized one tile in the "Tollkeepers" C3 expansion is different from the C2 version. Is this an error? If not, why did they make this change?

Just received my C3 german cathedrals. Nothing new but again the tiles from C2 and C3 are basically the same with VERY minor differences, totally different from the very huge jump between C1 and C2. I wonder if at the end of this run (i.e. before a C4 shows up in the future) we're gonna get a lot of expansions that will look basically the same. I haven't opened my german monasteries but from what I saw it's the same. C3 really isn't "remarkable" to me when cities are not involved. German monasteries are particularly guilty of this: they basically just added some dirt around the buildings and slightly darken the colour.

I just wanted to share this game. 13 meeples out of 14 were used as a farmer, for a final count of 6 - 5 on the one giant field, worth 36 points in the end. For the record, it wasn't enough for Grey to win, since the final score was 232 - 216 As a bonus curiosity, the last tile drawn by Grey was a CFRR tile, who would have allowed Blue to merge the tiny 3-point field at the bottom, and have a tie on the bigger one! Love the unpredictability of this game

I found on Vinted a version of the base game with a weird scoreboard, that doesn't loop at 50 but starts at 0 and stops at 70. From the writings I think it's dutch. Is this some special edition? Couldn't find any info on Wikicarpedia at the Collections_and_Expansions page.

I was extremely bored AND didn't want to interact with other people (not even online) so I "Invented" a solo version to be able to play Carcassonne on my own whenever I want. I'm using quotes because I'm pretty sure something like this has already been done by someone else, so please, if you see something similar to a pre-existing mode, just let me know so I can give credits: I don't want to steal ideas from no one: I'm just too lazy these days to properly check the catalogue. PreparationGet a base version of the game, preferably C1 to keep things simple but it's not really important. Remove the start tile (the one with the different background), shuffle all the others and create 5 decks of 14 tiles each (face down). The remaining one is the starting tile for the game and is to be placed face up on the table. No meeple required. GameplayDraw a tile and place it following the normal rules, trying to complete cities, roads and monasteries. You can't draw from the same deck twice in a row. If you can't place a tile, it's discarded and removed from the game. ObjectiveThe goal of the game is to make a perfect 7x7 square of tiles, and score as many points as possible by doing so. The starting tile doesn't have to be in the middle, the square can be formed around it in any way. End of GameThe game ends once a perfect 7x7 square of tiles has been formed OR when the player discards their third unusable tile. Final Score At the end of the game, every road, city or monastery on the map gives points, according to the normal rules, regardless if they've been closed or left open (the border of the square don't automatically close features). If a perfect square with no holes has been made, the score is multiplied by 10% (rounded). If a perfect square has not been made (there are holes in it) the score is decreased by 10% (rounded). And that's all. Here's an example. The starting tile was the one marked with the blue X and I didn't manage to complete the square (three discarded tiles, the ones on the right). 38 points for roads, 69 for cities, 15 for monasteries. A total of 122 decreased by 12,2 so 110,2 for a final score of 110.

A user on an italian forum shared an incredible experience. He bought a BB3 time ago and never actually gave attention to its content. Recently he found out that the box contained WAY MORE that it was supposed to contain. Other then the regular content, it was: - The School
- 5 little bags in different colors
- Darmstad Promo tiles
- Spiel 14 and 15
- Labyrinths
- Anniversary stickers
- 36 blank tiles
- Tunnel expansions
- Pest expansion
- Windroses
- German Castles C1
- Count of Carcassonne, River 1, Minis 1, 5 and 6
- Half tiles, the triangular ones
- ...and many others min oexpansion in custom boxes
This user has no idea what all of this is.... I was so freakin' jealous. How do you think something like this may have happened? Did some of you ever experienced something similar? Source: post #32 on this page

HI. I received 3D the starting tiles but I have no idea how to assemble them. Do I have to use glue to keep the parts together? Otherwise they don't stay in place. Any tips? THANKS!
PS. I've read the attached manual but the "instructions" for assembling are non existant. They say: "assemble the box". Heh. I don't know how.
