General / Carcassonne English Release History

Does anyone know the release history of the English Carcassonne expansions? The things I'm wondering are:
1. When did Carcassonne tiles start having the expansion symbols on them?
2. For the earlier expansions are there releases outside of the big boxes that have the symbols on them?
3. Wikipedia says that German versions are made by Hans Im Gluck and English versions are made by Rio Grande Games. Is there a reason that my English copies of Catapult and Bridges, Castles and Bazaars are made by Hans Im Gluck?

General / Must Have C2 expansions for C1 Collector

Hey Everyone,

I've been a C1 collector only since 2007 and just topped up my collection in the last few weeks with Big Box 5 (Finally got C1 hills and sheep after not getting it when it came out), The Minis and a few other mini expansions.

I keep wondering, even though I don't want to start collecting C2, whether I should get expansion 10 Under The Big Top even though the artwork doesn't match. But just not sure.

Question is, for any of you who are much more in the know than I am, are there any C2 expansions that are must have's that even as a C1 collector I shouldn't miss out on? Would you recommend getting expansion 10 or any of the mini expansions currently available on Cundco etc? Or should I keep it C1 only? Would love to hear your thoughts! :-D

General / Big Box 5!!! ;D

I know it's probably not something anyone particularly cares about, but just wanted to share something I'm feeling super excited about with like minded people. I just managed to convince someone in another state on Facebook to send me Big Box 5!!! Cost me $105 including postage (which is still cheaper than the original retail price). I'm so excited though as I have been trying to find OG artwork Hills and Sheep for years ever since I was too stingy to buy it in the shop when it came out.
So not only do I get that, but I also get the two extra sets of meeple, river 3, wheel of fortune all of which I don't have, but I'll also finally have copies of the original 2 expansions with the expansion logos on them. I have the original ones and find it so difficult trying to separate the expansions from the main game with no logo.
This box was the perfect one for me. My Carcassonne life finally feels complete after all these years. So, so happy!

General / Quantity of each expansion

While I purchased all the major C1 expansions back in the day (aside from Hills & Sheep which I am still very annoyed about), it has been many years since i've cracked everything out to play. I'm really excited to get back into playing once we've moved house, but one question has been bugging me...
Does everyone feel that one copy of each expansion is enough to implement the new features/rules or do you think multiple copies are required for them to not feel too diluted? I always treated expansions like a video game expansion that one copy is enough, but what have most of you done in relation to gathering expansions? One of each or multiple?

The Marketplace / WTB Original Artwork Hills & Sheep, The Gold Mines and The Ferries

If anyone is selling or know where I can buy these expansions from I would be eternally grateful. I don't mind what language they are as long as its the original artwork. I understand I probably wont be paying retail price for them right now, but somethin within reality unlike ebay listings would be nice. :-) Thanks for any advice even though I know its a long shot.'
In Australia, so postage will be a consideration too.
