Wow!!! This is great news. The English rules are finally online.

I'm just reading through the English rules with the new chip tokens, and noticed an error in their translation. In the rules for the Great Britain map, to get a meeple back from the Ilse of Man, it states to either have 3 chips of the same number, or three chips of the same colour. However, the illustration shows 3 chips of 3 different colours . And in the German rules it also states that 3 different colours are required instead of 3 of the same colour.

Language on the WoF starting tile.
There is a German version, Dutch version, English version and BB5 introduced a language-independent version.
(and there is actually a Russian version, but i'm not sure if it has writing on it)
The difference is the writing on the tiles.

It seems like a case of: "If it seems too good to be true, it is" They've got a lot of listings for Carcassonne items, and everything is in the price range between €30-€40. Even a listing of the Base game with all major and lots of mini expansions. A lot of pictures seem eBay-like. They've got multiple listings for the limited edition of the Markets of Leipzig edition as well, with quantities available that don't make sense to me. I wouldn't trust them, but would be curious to see what happens if someone orders from them

Question on first edition of Carcassonne: It has to be the one with 70 scoretrack or it can be any with the thieve on the bow instead of the princess ?
I think it is only the HIG first edition, with the 70 point scoretrack. I've got a Dutch 999 Games first edition, will compare the shade of green tonight as i'm curious now Now to complete All 3 sets, that's quite a challenge !
If my Dutch 1st edition has the same colour as the HiG version, i think i've got all 3 sets! Any ideas to check in second hand the barcode or such for first edition of expansions 1 - 5 ? For the second shade
I've been able to collect all the first editions of the first expansions, without watermark. This was mainly by just searching 2nd hand websites, and scanning the photos for watermarks. Don't know the difference in barcode, but found it (relatively) easy to find these expansions without watermark

I think I've got spares for everything, except for the festival. I have a spare for that in the new art, but not old art I think.
DM me if you're interested, we can see if we can ship stuff together.
For the catapult the biggest thing to remember is the size of the wooden catapult; it makes the box required a lot bigger. Additionally it is more likely to be damaged (just keep it in mind)

Based on the responses on BGG it seems like there is no mentioning of the actual word Carcassonne on the box (other than it being mentioned in the facebook post). So that will be a nice thing to think about: Will this be something widely adapted in the 'Carcassonne Series', meaning it being an option to select in our forum profile, it being in the CAR/Wikicarpedia/etc, or not? Main impact will be on all the completionists here (amongst who i count myself), who then might be seeking out this version as well I have the Castle of course (dutch version i believe), but haven't played it much. I've played all the Carcassonne games when i bought them, but after that only play the ones i really like

Funny story, my BB1 did. When i bought it online (Second hand but i remember it being through Amazon), it came with the 5th expansion (Abbey&Mayor) included, as well as the 5 shrines and 5 King and Scout tiles from the 6th expansion (at least with that watermark) I still keep those tiles in the BB1

For example, the BB5 is indispensable. The rest of Big Boxes are absurd unless you have OCD and need all BB so you don't have an anxiety attack. Although I think we all here have OCD to a greater or lesser extent hahaha.

I've combined all the starting tiles once in a mega-carcassonne. This include River 1, 2 and 3 (and the spring tile from the GQ expansion), Wheel of Fortune, City of Carcassonne, Windroses 1 (i think we did use the Windroses 2 tiles, but not the starter), school and of course the standard starting tile. We only used one of each (apart from the 4 different river springs), to not fill the table with starting tiles only http://www.carcassonnecentral.com/community/index.php?topic=3219.0It worked very well i think, as it gave a lot of options for the rivers (many river tiles and many rivers to work on), and made for high scoring during our early turns. I would say combining them can work, but would still keep it limited to 1 of each (apart from rivers). More schools.WoF's, cities, Windroses might not work well.
