@Meepledrone - thanks for all your efforts in organising what is, I'm sure, a highlight of the year for many of us here!

I hope that everyone has been enjoying a wonderful Christmas with family & friends! I'm back at work today (hence why I'm posting here so I can ease myself into it ;) ) so I hope everyone is able to make the most of whatever break they've had/ are having, and that the last few days of the year are full of fun, laughs and boardgames!

Best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2024 to you all from the "isthirty" family...

So we now call it River II Simba's Pride?

I think this thread had proved that that's the only name that we can all agree on...

Ah, but River II no longer exists!

I've just checked my shelves; thankfully it's still there!

There are no I, II or III. There are only the "The River" (that comes in various configuration) expansion and the "Count, King and Robber" expansion that comes with 12 river tiles with only 1 configuration.

Thanks for clarifying... ::)

The most important thing is not the official name, but the name that History will remember. Here, History will remember that this river is River III    ;D

Amen brother! :(y)

There are two types of people in this world; those who refer to the River from BB5 as River 3, and those who are wrong...

When BBG becomes emperor of the universe I'm sure we will all submit to his evil bidding and call it whatever he decides it should be called, but until then it's definitely River 3.

First thing I'll do when I become emperor of the Universe is to ban everyone from calling "River 3" the river from the BB5. It's a slightly modified River I FFS, no need to give it a separate numeration! :))

It's River III  >:(

I can think of at least one Carcassonne related book that's available on Amazon that would have been a much better investment!

I had a very lucky game! :o

Thanks for organising this Linksux! :(y) :)

Great job Linksux - I am looking forward to it! :)

+1 merit of course for organising, and for providing such a wonderful prize! :(y) :pink-meeple:

Yes there is an Carcassonne Central group:

Admin is: danisthirty

The trouble with this group is that I didn't restrict it and as such it can't be used as a launching platform for CarcC tournaments on BGA since there are too many non-CarcC members in the group. This upset the previous tournament we ran on BGA somewhat...
