Welcome!

Welcome to the new home of the Carcassonne Strategy Guide! Obviously we don’t have much of a strategy guide yet, but this at least provides somewhere for it to grow and develop and hopefully turn into something that we can all be very proud of!

So, the process should go something like this:

* Identify something that you’d like to write about, giving a brief description of what you'd like to include wherever possible
* Check that nobody else has already written about it by checking the forums
* Post a message on the “Work in Progress” thread to let others know what you’re working on
* When you’ve finished, post your article on this forum in its own thread
* Encourage others to leave feedback by posting a reply on your new thread (hopefully this will come naturally)
* Edit your post as appropriate depending on feedback
* Submit your post for inclusion on the blog (more on this later – once we’ve worked it all out!)
Alternatively, if you have a short tip or quick piece of advice that you'd like to contribute but which isn't worth submitting as a full article, you can do so by posting it here: Miscellanious Tips

Bear in mind that this is a very newly conceived project at time of writing and it isn’t yet known how best we can achieve this goal. It seems unlikely that we’ll get everything right from the outset so let’s be willing to change and adapt our approach as necessary and support each other wherever possible.

Let’s do this!  8)

Woohoo!  Thanks for setting this up danisthirty!

Another possible step along the way could be to include an outline of the article when you announce the topic on the WIP thread and ask for feedback there. We can't always include every nuance in every article, but it might be good to hear other ideas on the subject at that early planning stage to help shape the article.

Good idea! I've included it on the list...

I'd like to suggest that if you see something in the miscellaneous tip thread that you want to include as part of a larger article, I think we should encourage that.
