Title: Double Sets - What About The Meeples?
Post by: Rhoobarb2005 on July 16, 2018, 11:21:36 AM
So I have nearly everything for Carc 2.0 (Only missing the Japanese Temples and any Essen/promo single tiles) I received today the Big Box 6 so I could get all the mini expansions that are not available on their own. I plan to double up the Base/I&C/B&T tiles into one huge set with everything else, but I was wondering about all the spare meeples? So, how should I use them? Should I just add them all? Only the non-specials? Or none at all?

Is it game breaking to have so many meeples? Is there a problem having 2 builders? etc, etc.

What do you guys do/think?

Hello,

in my opinion you shouldn't add extra set, cause it's not necessary. When you generally playing mega carcassonne with all expansions mixed up together you also have only base set of meeples and extra meeples included in expansions.

Second set would also ruled out necessity of saving meeples for more important situation.

Anyway, best way to answer this question - playon your own one time with extra set and u will get your very own answer. Maybe your experience will be much more positive than my predictions.

I'm of the opinion that extra tiles warrant extra meeples - that is why the expansions include additional meeple with a bonus affect.

I think 2 builders would be problematic - but I would consider adding a few extra meeple 1 per player for every extra 15-20 tiles in the deck.
