In the beginning there was "The Concept".
Next there was the cunning decision to use the magic number "72". One can print in batches of 12 and it is a number ideal for 2, 3, 4 but not 5 [ we'll fix that later ] players.
Then there was the "Play Testing" and "The Rules" and betwixt and between there was the "Cock-up". For someone maketh the decision that there must be a tile on the table at the commencement of proceedings. This then leaves 71 playable tiles which is devisable by 'not-a-lot'.
Thus the question to follow all the not-getting-to-the-point-quickly-enough is this.........
What design should the 'other' tile, the missing 73rd tile have been?
I can't offer a Spiel de Jahres trophy, but there are a few things that I have from which a prize can be chosen and posted to the forumee who posteth the tile design that I agree is the one that I would have included back in the day.
(Obviously the rule to have a tile on the table could've been over-ruled - but that is a completely different discussion IMHO)
So, what sayeth the populous of Carcassonne Central?
