I had a great time and managed to play in games against all of the chaps from the forum. Looking forward to next year. Loved getting a Dan meeple!

Hi Dan,

I'll be arriving on Thursday, I've booked up for way too many RPG's but I'll be there for the seminar. Looking forward to it and meeting everyone

What happens when a flyer moves diagonally  over one of big castle double tiles? Does he move sideways on the big tile then move off diagonally or does he follow a realistic straight line over the castle? On a similar note, does the castle only count as one tile when counting the kidnap range for a tower?

Hi Dan,

I was at the Expo 3 years ago last time (I think). The tourney was fun but really odd as the highest scoring players went through to the second round regardless of whether they won so you had the odd arrangement of players conspiring to share huge cities so they could all gain lots of points. Madness!
Do you look like your Meeple?

My real name is Geoff Thirlwell in case anyone wants to say hi

Really looking forward to this event. I'm playing games until late the night before so I should be hangover free for the tournament. Will the lucky winner be the only one to receive the contents of the package or is he going to surprise all of us with it?

They originally gave a date in March but the miniatures games went on sale about a week ago and the boardgames today. They sent out emails to let people know the earlier dates.

Will the Easter Bunny expansion be included in the CAR as it seems to be the most official fan expansion?

I'd never noticed that Wheel of fortune had different tiles to the base game, I just asumed they were the same. I guess the odd 12 tile expansion in Big Box 5 makes sense now

Hi

I've already got the original 72 tile set of the Wheel of Fortune. I'd like to add the 12 tiles from the Wheel of Fortune from the Big Box to have an 84 tile watermarked set of Wheel of Fortune but I'm a bit confused with how the set works in the Big Box.

The base set in the Big Box only has 16 tiles with wheel numbers on compared to the 19 in the Wheel of Fortune boxed set. In the 12 tile Wheel of Fortune expansion in the Big Box there are another 3 numbered tiles bringing the total up to 19. If I simply add the 12 tiles to my Wheel of Fortune set then I'll have 22 numbered tiles instead of 19 and if I leave 3 numbered tiles out then I'll only have an 81 tile set rather than the 84 I wanted.

Does anyone know which tiles I'll be missing in order to complete an 84 tile watermarked set with the same configuration and the same numbers on the tiles as the Big Box 72 tiles+12 Wheel of Fortune tiles?

I know this sounds a bit OCD but it's bugging me!
Help!

There seems to be a steadily growing list of holy men and holy places.  So far we have

1. Cloisters - occupied by Monks or the 2nd edition Abbot Meeple
2. Cathedrals - just for show, nobody lives in them
3. The Abbey - occupied by Monks.
4. Shrines - occupied by Heretics
5. German/Dutch/Belgian Monasteries in several different states:
a) occupied by a Monk
b) occupied by an Abbot
c) occupied by a Monk and an Abbot due to the use a Flier tile.
d) unoccupied
6. Darmstadt Church & Chapel - occupied by some sort of follower
7. A Garden - occupied by the 2nd edition Abbot Meeple

My questions are which of the above can be used in the following situations

A - to provide sanctuary to a Knight from a City with a Siege tile
B - give points on an Inquisition result on the Wheel of Fortune
C - be a feature on which you can place the 2nd edition Abbot Meeple
D - be a target feature for a meeple in the City of Carcassonne

E - Also, can the Abbot Meeple use the Flier or a Magic Portal to move to a feature on which he can be placed?
