Question #20: Red places this tile followed by the barn and the phantom. The player has the following questions:
1) Can the player move the ferry at the top?
2) Can the player move the ferry on the left?
3) After moving all the ferries allowed to extend the road as much as possible, how many points does each player score in this scenario?
4) Can the wagon move once the city is scored? Where, if possible?

Answer #20: Red completes a city and extends an open road with a ferry. This means that the player can move the first ferry (marked as 1 in the image below) following the extended road from the tile just placed. This is also possible because the ferry piece is connected to the extended road. However, it is not possible to move the next ferry down the road on the left (marked as 2 in the image below) past the first ferry, since the rules would not allow it.

Image with some annotations to support the explanation.

After moving the first ferry (the one at the top), the resulting road is now completed. It now has:
* 9 tiles, 2 of them added after moving the ferry
* 1 German cathedral (top right)
Note: As the second ferry cannot be moved, the road cannot be added 2 more tiles including 1 inn.

The road occupied by the Red Phantom is worth 18 points (9 tiles x (1 point per tile + 1 point for the German cathedral) = 9 x 2 points)

Blue occupies the completed city with their wagon. The city is worth 10 points (5 tiles x 2 points). Note that both halves of the Spiel 19 tile are connected by the bridge on the tile and additionally by the Spiel 20 tile. After scoring, Blue can move the wagon to the open city on the adjacent tile  or to any of segment of the open road connected to the tile where the wagon is placed, since they are the only open features on neighboring tiles:
* The wagon could move to the road segment on the same tile it is placed (marked as A in the image above)
* The wagon could move to the road segment on the adjacent CFRR tile bottom left (marked as B in the image above)
* The wagon could move to any of the road segments connected by the ferry on the ferry lake tile on the left (marked as C and D in the image above).
* The wagon could move to the city segment on the adjacent CFRR tile bottom left (marked as E in the image above). Note: this option is valid in C2 but not in C1, since the latter only allows the wagon to move between features connected by roads or common edges, not allowing it to jump over field segments like in this case.

Additionally, the barn is placed in a field with a Red Farmer, a Yellow Farmer and a Yellow Pig. This barn placement triggers the scoring of these farmers.
* Red will score 3 points (1 completed city x 3 points)
* Yellow will score 4 points (1 completed city x (3 points for the city + 1 point for the pig) = 1 city x 4 points)
After this scoring, the farmers and the pig are removed from the field and only the barn remains in it, to be scored at the end of the game.

Bottomline:
The answer to the questions is as follows:
1) Yes, the ferry at the top can be moved so the road can also be completed and scored. This is possible since the road containing this ferry is extended by the tile just placed.
2) No, the ferry on the left cannot be moved, since it is not connected directly to the road extended by the tile placed.
3) The players score the following points:
   * Blue scores 10 points for the city.
   * Red scores 21 points (18 points for the road + 3 point for the field).
   * Yellow scores 4 poins for the field.
4) Yes, it can move to any road segment on the open road on the left that contains an inn and a ferry. It can also move to the open city segment on the tile bottom left (unless applying C1 rules).

Question #21: Red places this German castle tile and has the following questions:
1) Can the player place the pig in this field?
2) What expansions allowed Blue and Yellow to place more than one meeple on the same city tile?
3) How many points does each player score in this scenario?

Answer #21: Red completes a road, a city and a monastery with this tile placement. The completion of the city will also trigger the completion of the castle occupied by Red.

Note that the monastery is complete even if there is a triangular gap around the monastery. The square is considered occupied even with only one triangular tile. Moreover, there are two double-sized tiles that occupy two adjacent squares to the monastery each. The monastery itself is a triangular tile sharing a space with another triangular tile. This monastery is then completed as it occupies a space surrounded by 8 occupied spaces. All these spaces count as regular tiles when scoring the monastery.

The field where the player wants to place the pig is also the field with the Red Phantom (the field goes between the city and the German castle at the bottom).

As seen in the picture, Blue used the "Add Meeple" action of the 20th Anniversary Expansion and Yellow used a flying machine from Mini #1 - Flying Machines to add a second meeple to the city.

We will see two different answers depending on the scoring rules applied.

Scoring with C2/C3 rules

If we apply the C2/C3 rules for Halflings and double-sized tiles, each square occupied by one or two Halflings, or half a double-sized tile is counted as 1 square tile.

Let's score each completed feature:

A) The road occupied by Yellow has 3 tiles and a German castle. The player will score 6 points (3 points for the road + 3 points for the German castle):
* 3 points for the road (3 tile x 1 point per tile)
* 3 bonus points for the German castle at one end of the road (1 German castle x 3 points per castle)

B) The city occupied by Blue and Yellow is worth 16 points (10 points for the city + 6 points for the German castles):
* 10 points for the city ( (4 tiles + 1 coat of arms) x 2 points = 5 x 2 points )
* 6 points for the 2 German castles contributing to the city (2 German castles x 3 points per castle)
Blue has a normal meeple and mayor with strength 1 due to the coat of arms, that is 2 majority votes. Yellow has one normal wagon and a normal meeple, that is 2 majority votes too. However, the tie is broken in Blue's favor since their meeples are on a hill and Yellow has none. Therefore, only Blue receives points for this city.

C) The monastery occupied by Red is worth 15 points (9 points for the monastery + 6 points for the neighboring vineyards)
* 9 points for the monastery (9 tiles x 1 point each)
* 6 points for the vineyards (2 vineyards x 3 points)
Note that one vineyard shares the same space as the monastery and the other one is on the tile bottom left.

D) Red will score 16 points for the castle, that is the same number of points the city is worth.

Bottomline:
The answer is as follows:
1) Yes, the pig can be placed in the field chosen by Red.
2) Blue used the "Add Meeple" action of the 20th Anniversary Expansion and Yellow used a flying machine from Mini #1 - Flying Machines to add a second meeple to the city.
3) The scoring is as follows:
   * Blue will score 16 poins for the city
   * Red will score 31 points (15 points for the monastery + 16 points for the castle)
   * Yellow will score 6 points for the road

Scoring with C1 rules

If we apply the C1 rules for Halflings and double-sized tiles, each tile is considered individually when scoring features. In our case, this will affect the scoring of the monastery.

A) Yellow will still score 6 points for the road.

B) Blue will still score 16 points for the city.

C) The monastery occupied by Red is worth 14 points (8 points for the monastery + 6 points for the neighboring vineyards)
* 8 points for the monastery ( ( 2 triangular tiles in the space occupied by the monastery + 1 adjacent triangular tile + 2 adjacent doble-sized tiles + 3 adjacent square tiles ) x 1 point per tile = 8 tiles x 1 point)
* 6 points for the vineyards (2 vineyards x 3 points)

D) Red will still score 16 points for the castle.

   * Red will score 30 points (14 points for the monastery + 16 points for the castle)
   * Yellow will score 6 points for the road

Question #22: Red places this tile and has he following questions:
1) Is any tile affected by the Bad Neighborhood scoring tile when scoring the cities?
2) Does the Bad Neighborhood scoring tile affect the Mage bonus?
3) How many points does each player score in this scenario?

Answer #22: Red completes two cities with this tile placement. Let's check each city in turn.

The city occupied by Red has 5 tiles and 1 coat of arms. The Mage is also placed in this city. Due to the Bad Neigborhood scoring tile, the city cap on the tile just placed is not counted when scoring this city, but it does not affect the Mage. Therefore this city is worth 15 points (10 points for the city + 5 points for the Mage bonus):
* The city itself is worth 10 points ( (5 tiles - 1 tile for the Bad Neighborhood scoring tile + 1 coat of arms) x 2 points = 5 x 2 points )
* The Mage bonus is 5 points (5 tiles x 1 point per tile). Note the Mage does not consider coats of arms and is not affected by the scoring tile.

Check the following image where the tiles belonging to this city are highlighted in red and the city segment affected by the Bad Neighborhood is marked with a cross.

The city occupied by Blue and Yellow is scored by both players. The Yellow Builder has no impact on the majority or the scoring. Each player has one majority vote. This city has 8 tiles, 1 coat of arms and the Witch. The Bad Neighborhood scoring tile will affect the city caps on the tile just placed and the one top left where the Blue Meple is placed (Note that the meeple is considered for the majority but that city segment is not considered). Therefore this city is worth 7 points:
* The city would be worth 14 points ( (8 tiles - 2 tiles for the Bad Neighborhood scoring tile + 1 coat of arms) x 2 points per tile = 7 x 2 points) but the Witch will halve that amount of points (rounded up). So the city is worth 7 points (14 points / 2 for the Witch)

Note: The Bad Neighborhood scoring tile affects plain city caps as the ones present in the base game, but it will ignore city caps connected to bridges. You can see some examples of the latter in this question.

Bottomline:
The answer to the questions is as follows:
1) The Bad Neighborhood scoring tile affects the city caps on the tiles top left and bottom right (the one just placed). These tiles will not be considered when scoring the cities
2) The Bad Neighborhood scoring does not affect the Mage bonus. Both expansions coexist without any interaction.
3) Each player scores as follows:
* Blue will score 7 points
* Red will score 15 points
* Yellow will score 7 points

Question #23: Red places this tile and has he following questions:
1) Whose meeple gets a new ghost and how is it affected?
2) How many points does each player score in this scenario?

Answer #23: Red completes a city with this tile placement. In the city, Red has one normal meeple with two ghosts and a guard meeple, and Yellow has one normal meeple with two ghosts as well.

Since Red extends a mist bank with this tile placement, the player must add a ghost to an opponent's meeple. In this scenario, the only valid meeple for this is the one from Yellow. As this meeple is haunted by three ghosts, it has to return immediately to its owner's supply and those three ghosts are returned to the general supply. As a result, the city is now occupied by Red only. Note that a ghost cannot be added to Blue's guard meeple.

Therefore, Red will score 14 points (18 points for the city - 4 points for the ghosts added to the player's meeple):
* The city is worth 18 points ( ( 8 tiles + 1 coat of arms ) x 2 points = 9 x 2 points)
* The ghosts deduct 4 points from the city scoring (2 ghosts x 2 points)

Bottomline:
1) Yellow's normal meeple gets the additional ghost and it is removed right away from the city.
2) The players score as follows:
   * Blue scores no points (their castle is uncompleted)
   * Red will score 14 points for the city.
   * Yellow scores no points (their meeple is removed from the city before scoring).

The player extended the mist (misty edge next to misty edge)... A different thing is that the mist bank is closed

Question #24: Red places this tile with their tollhouse token, and builds the castle with the Red Meeple. The player has the following questions:
1) Which features trigger the scoring of each castle and how many points are they worth?
2) How many points would each player score in this scenario if Yellow wants other players to score the least points possible?

Answer #24: Red completes a small city that converts into a castle, a road occupied by Orange and an unoccupied German cathedral connected to that road.

The completion of the road and the German cathedral cannot trigger the scoring of the castle just built by Red. However, both features trigger the scoring of the castle occupied by the Yellow Mayor. Additionally, this castle will also trigger the scoring of the castle occupied by Blue.

The completion of the road also triggers the scoring of the Red Tollhouse. This tollhouse is worth 3 points ( (1 farmhouse + 2 highwaymen) x 1 point for the tollhouse = 3 x 1 points).

The road occupied by Orange has an inn and a German cathedral. Additionally the road ends at two segments on the German cathedral tile, so each one of these road segments will be counted separately. As a result this road is worth 18 points ( (4 tiles + 2 road segments on the German cathedral tile) x (1 point for the road + 1 point for the inn + 1 point for the German cathedral) = 6 x 3 points).

The unoccupied German cathedral is also completed and it will score 15 points (12 points for the road with the inn + 3 points for the road leading to the Pink Tollhouse:
* 12 points for the road with an inn ( (4 tiles + 2 road segments on the German cathedral tile) x (1 point for the road + 1 point for the inn ) = 6 x 2 points).
* 3 points for the road ending at the Pink Tollhouse (3 tiles x 1 point per tile).

When scoring the castle occupied by Yellow, the player can choose between two options:
* 18 points for the road occupied by Orange
* 15 points for the unoccupied German cathedral.
As we are scoring the least points possible, Yellow would choose to score points for the unoccupied German cathedral. However, since the castle lord is a mayor and castles have no coats of arms, the player will score 0 points for the castle, even if the castle is worth 15 points.

Blue will score the same points as Yellow's castle is worth, that is 15 points. It does not matter that Yellow could not score points for it.

Bottomline:
1) The features triggering the scoring of each castle are:
   * Blue's castle: it is triggered by Yellow's castle. It is worth 15 points.
   * Red's castle: no feature can trigger its scoring on this turn, since it was just built.
   * Yellow's castle: It is triggered by the road occupied by Orange (worth 18 points) and the unoccupied German cathedral (worth 15 points). The player decides the castle is worth 15 points in order to minimize the points received by Blue.
2) Each player scores as follows:
   * Blue scores 15 poins for the castle
   * Orange scores 18 points for the road
   * Red scores 3 points for the tollhouse
   * Yellow scores 0 points for the castle.
