How do you shuffle your tiles without damaging them? It seems that any form of shuffling will lead to damage at some point.

1. We select expansion to play
2. Create tree towers of tiles from standard game
3. Divide first expansion to 3 parts
4. Get First tower and first tower and put tu 1-st of x part first tile from expansion tiles and continuie to finish all tiles of 1-st part
5. Continue with second and third tower
6. Repeat 3-5 for all selected expansions
7. Join all three towers and put then to Tower stack from 4-th expansion or blue bag from 1-st expansion or just leave on table
8. Let's play - all player know, that tiles are distributed continuosly.

I avoid using a sack as I didn't sleeve my tiles (yet?). At the very beginning I also used the Big Box 6 box lid as a tray to shuffle the tiles and allow players to draw their tiles. Later I got The Tower and I always carry around a folded tower that I assemble and use as a dispenser.
I follow a similar approach to fill the Tower:
1. Select the bases game(s) and expansions for the game
2. Place the base game(s) and expansions in facedown stacks
3. Create 15-20 small stacks with the base game tiles
4. Add tiles from expansions on top at random
3. Take two or three stacks together at a time, cut them and re-stack them at random, placing the resulting stack back on the table.
4. Take a few tiles from each resulting stack and place them in the tower until all the stacks are depleted
Note:
I say base game(s) because I carry around two base games along with all my expansions. Depending on the participants, we may play a vanilla game or add some expansions. The second base game allows you to play with more than 5 players without adding expansions. My rule of thumb: use enough tiles for players to have at least 16 turns.
For example: A few days ago, we had a 6-player game with newcomers to the Carcassonne world. I used a full base game (71 tiles + 1 starting tile) plus 24 tiles from my second base game. 72 + 24 = 96 tiles, that is, 96 / 6 = 16 tiles per player. We allowed players to pick their tiles in advance so they could think ahead, so the game was more dynamic for that number of players.

If you want to use the bag no matter what, you may be interested in sleeving your tiles to protect them. The following post comments the topic a bit:

The stock of sleeves is running out... I just found this other option here:

This seems to be my 2000th post... Something must be wrong in the universe

Thank you Bumsakalaka & Meepledrone for the great suggestions on shuffling tiles. I'll try them the next time we play.
Also, thank you Meepledrone for the sleeves suggestions. I looked for a resource, but couldn't find one. I should've looked deeper.

Now I just have to figure out which ones to sleeve. The base game, of course, since it's always played, but I won't have enough to sleeve all the expansions. I'm also thinking of buying the Big Box 6 so I can separate my C1s and C2s. So, I'd need sleeves for the C2 base game.
I didn't realize how Carcassonne can consume one's life.
Meepledrone, congratulations on 2,000 posts. Is there a cash prize for that accomplishment?

It seems, you'll need to find more sleeves.
Thanks! Ha ha ha, no prize... Just two years posting.

Sleeving your tiles
Keep it simple. Buy always 2 copies of eaCh expansions. One for your stash and one for playing.

Love the search function that helps to keep the wisdom alive. I see that a tile tower seems to be a pretty popular choice. I don't see myself sleeving tiles...honestly. Though it would also help preserve the tiles in case of coffee/tea/juice spills during gameplay. I wonder how the sleeves effect the fit into the playing holders, like the maps and BasicallyWooden's holders, as well as the game piece boxes.
Any recommendations for tile towers?

I haven't sleeved my tiles (yet). I use a tower tile dispenser.
I shuffle the tiles by creating little stacks distributing the base game tiles and those from the selected expansions between those stacks. Then I cut the stacks and mix them again. Afterwards I load the resulting stacks onto the tower.
I always carry around a tower in my Carcassonne travel pack. I fold it flat and back. It is very convenient because I can move all the tiles around the table so players can draw a tile without any hassle.
Don't know if this may work for you.

I sleeved my rare expansions only (russian promo, spiel promo, plague, tunnel, wind rose, catapult, belagerer, GQ11...). All players know that when a sleeved tile comes up, it's one of those expansions.
They fit easily in a tower dispenser (I'm using two tower dispensers for my games).
The maps grid are bigger than the tiles, so sleeved tiles doesn't break the grid (tried on USA maps, and self printed GB map).
They do also fit in tuckboxes from cundco, but it's harder to take them out of the box.
You can see a game on a map mixing sleeved and non sleeved tiles here:
