This one arrived over the weekend and what a great job they have done on it. First time Kickstarters and yet the production levels are fantastic. Can't wait to get it to the table on Wednesday at the gamers gathering.

I’m REALLY considering Prehistory. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1205265935/prehistory/description

Classic Stone Age board game is still a favourite and this takes that theme and kicks it up several notches, especially with little elements of Civ. building and Exploration.

It also checks off a lot of favourite game mechanism: Modular Board, Set Collection, Tile Placement, Worker Placement and Area Control / Area Influence.

There are three play areas that are partially based on a seasonal rotation.

Main board area

Modular exploration and hunting ground area

Player boards that also act as an active play area

The run throughs I watched showed a fun theme with lots of variability and good decision-making. A user on BGG got a Trajan vibe while it reminds me of Clans of Caledonia - not so much in game play but the range of play options. Still lots of time to decide on this one!

I went for this Franks as it appealed to my Euro style game preference 9 days to go and the stretch goals are building up.

If you look very carefully there is a set of those on Aenima's secret Santa clock. They can't be that rare can they.

Indeed, it'll fit in nicely with the family, easy to learn and play and up to four people but good for two.

The Japanese thing looks good and a total of nine games all mixing with each other. If you go for it will you get the rest?
