The World Cup of Carcassonne Central is our most prestigious competition of the year. Now in its second year, the World Cup consists of a group stage followed by a knock-out stage and will include various combinations of expansions at each stage of the contest. As well as being free to enter, there will be prizes for all participants, random spot prizes and a specially made trophy that could be yours to keep until the next World Cup (if you win)!

It isn't yet known exactly how the initial group stage will be arranged as this depends largely on how many people take part. Just as an example though, 32 players would most likely be organised into 8 groups of 4 (mini-leagues), and the top 2 from each group would go through to the knock-out stage. All matches will be head-to-heads (2-player) and should be played via JCloisterZone according to our normal competition rules.
