Question #07: Red places this tile. If we apply C1 rules, please answer the following questions:
a) How many points does Red score?
b) Can the wagon move to any feature after scoring?
c) What would be different in the previous answers if we apply C2 rules?

Answer #07: Red completes a road with the following elements:
* 7 square tiles (including one roundabout and one tunnel)
* 1 double-sized tile with a German castle, with both halved connected to the same road
* 4 Halflings (the hill is irrelevant in this case)
* 1 inn
* 2 sheds from Little Buildings
According to the C1 rules, each tile will be counted individually, even Halflings and double-sized tiles as per the clarifications from 10/2015. Therefore this road is scored as a 12-tile road.
The answers to the questions are the following:
a)
Red will score 29 points (24 + 3 + 2 points)
- 24 points for the road (12 tiles x (1 point per tile + 1 point for the inn) = 12 x 2 points).
- 3 points for the German castle at the end of the road
- 2 points for the sheds (1 sheds x 1 point per shed). Note: the variant applied is irrelevant.
Notes:
* The feature-level bonuses such as the German castle or Little Buildings are applied after the inn.
* The German castle bonus is considered only once even if the road ends at it multiple times.
b) After scoring,
Red can move the wagon to any unoccupied, uncompleted adjacent feature to the road, where
adjacent means connected to the road no matter the distance traveled. In this case, the only feature possible would be the German castle.
So
Red can remove the wagon or move it the German castle. Remember that the wagon cannot be placed on a field.
c) If we consider the C2 rules, the road will be scored according to the number of square spaces it occupied.
In this case, the answer to question a) will be different, since each square space is counted individually, even if it is occupied by two Halflings or one half of a double-sized tile. So the road is scored as if it had 11 tiles.
c.a)
Red will score 27 points (22 + 3 + 2 points)
- 22 points for the road (11 tiles x (1 point per tile + 1 point for the inn) = 11 x 2 points).
- 3 points for the German castle at the end of the road
- 2 points for the sheds (1 sheds x 1 point per shed). Note: the variant applied is irrelevant.
Notes:
* The feature-level bonuses such as the German castle or Little Buildings are applied after the inn.
* The German castle bonus is considered only once even if the road ends at it multiple times.
c.b) In C2, the meaning of adjacent when moving the wagon changed. After scoring,
Red can move the wagon to any unoccupied, uncompleted feature on the same tile or on adjacent tiles. The connectivity provided by the road is irrelevant in this case. The only adjacent tiles with uncompleted features are the two Halflings on the top right.
So
Red can remove the wagon or move it the any of the city segments on the two Halflings top right. Remember that the wagon cannot be placed on a field.
